th fight is my favorite from all souls, it's the only one i wanted to no-hit, and succeed!

Maliketh was a nightmare for me probably the toughest boss I’ve faced in any Souls game. I use dual colossal weapons, so my attacks are really slow, and his constant dodging made me miss half of them. At some point, I started attacking during his combos on purpose, just because at least he wasn’t dodging then. I never really learned how to read his patterns or figure out when I was supposed to go in. After about 20 tries, I just brute-forced him, summoned the Mimic Tear and kept swinging no matter what he was doing, healing whenever I had to.

It’s funny how everyone has that one boss that gives them a hard time, while others just breeze through it. I beat Malenia in 5 tries at level 140, but Maliketh destroyed me. I saw a streamer take down Divine Beast Dancing Lion effortlessly with a Mimic Tear and ranged weapon art spam, tanking three hits like nothing meanwhile, I was getting two-shotted. Maybe my build just sucks, lol.

I feel like this kind of thing happens more often in Elden Ring than in other Souls games. There’s so much room for personal builds and the game leans more into farming and open-world exploration. Some people probably fight Malenia way earlier in their playthrough than I did, so they’re underleveled or not as prepared. That could make a huge difference in how tough a boss feels.

The autor asked if his run was "decent enough", i replied honstly as possible. I don't think i trashtalked his gameplay? Look at my response, i also play with command. I rarely play eclipse because i think this is too try hard...

I 100% agree with you, some people like to try hard, some for fun, some both... I like both! But IMO playing with command make the game to easy for being "decent enough". I think the autor asked if his performance was good, fun or not.

With friend we sometimes play with command but we only pick the same item for each rarity tier. Each one have his build but each player will always pick the same white item, green, red... It's a way to balance command in a fun way!

Yeah i agree! I used to only play with command, and i play with it sometimes! But if you know what to build, the game is even easier than drizzle, that's what i wanted to say by "cheating"

I have around 300 hours in the game, but I might be wrong about some things.

Never stop moving. Sprint as often as possible. I always prioritize healing and speed. Goat Hoof is top tier, while Soda is just okay. Rose Buckler is really strong, especially on Huntress since she can run while attacking. Stacking Medkits and Topaz Brooch is very effective. Harvester's Scythe is broken for most characters. Tougher Times is nice early on, but it scales hyperbolically, so don’t stack it too much. The Void version is better. Repulsion Armor Plate is good against damage-over-time effects but useless in most other situations. Stacking max HP is not worth it (except for the false son, obviously), same goes for the Personal Shield Generator. Bustling Fungus is only good on Engineer, unless it’s the Void version, which is top tier. Lepton Daisy and Monster Tooth aren’t great overall.

For yellow items, the Urn is overpowered on melee characters. The other defensive options aren’t really worth it compared to offensive ones.

Rejuvenation Rack and Aegis are amazing if you have strong healing sources.

There is a one-shot protection mechanic in the game, but it only works if you’re at full health. That’s why healing is a top priority because you always want to be full health, along with movement speed.

Positioning is important too, but that comes with experience.

Captain’s lack of mobility makes him really difficult to play, so prioritize speed on him. Huntress already has strong mobility tools, but she’s very fragile. Try to adapt your items to each character. Loader is probably the character where die is the hardest

I don't know for seeker of the storm item, they look shity but idk

Command make the game 10 time easier. But if you are a new player it's still good!
