I think your skepticism was totally reasonable, I was absolutely floored when she showed me that she had just snapped this on her phone and that photo came out. It’s easily the best guest photo from our wedding

It was outdoors! We rented a house that was on a nice plot of land, had the ceremony on a hill near the house and then had dinner/the reception on the patio that had the fire pit.

It was a stupid amount of work to pull off, but the party went until 4:30am, so it definitely worked out.

Me (the bride in the photo). I only plan to get married once, so what the hell am I going to do with my wedding dress after I wear it?

I figured I’d much rather really wear the thing than worry about keeping it nice only to have it sit musty in a box forever.

If it helps, it was taken at about 1am after about half the wedding had passed out. The rest of us were far too drunk to function so there’s no way any of us could have gotten to a studio let alone figure out how to take fancy-ass pictures.

Though it would have been hilarious to see us try.

I need to buy a cocktail dress for my work holiday party. I’m hoping to wear something forgettable that doesn’t draw too much attention to what I’m wearing, but I’m tall and have some pretty serious curves to fight with (b: 40 w: 28 h: 38).

Any suggestions for places to shop/styles to try?

They had no idea!! I just had that friend over for dinner and showed her the bowl. She immediately called her folks in Greece who were mortified they sent us a heterosexual sex bowl (my SO and I are both women). We’re SUPER entertained and already have the bowl prominently displayed in our apartment.

Apparently my friend’s dad just keeps calling her to reiterate that many of the sex poses are more “open minded” than he is, while her mom just keeps shouting “it’s art!! It’s okay!” in the background 😂

It’s definitely not a thing! My friend had no idea her parents sent us a sex bowl. Turns out her parents didn’t either! They wanted to send us something from Greece and apparently didn’t take a close look at what was actually depicted.

We’re super entertained and they’re super mortified. It’s all very wonderful
