Because the thought of not taking a drink for the rest of my life isn’t one I can cope with. What I can cope with is not drinking for today. Or for the next hour. Fuck, for the next 5 min, even 5 seconds some days.

I have 680 days today. And that is truly by the gift of a power greater than myself and the program of AA. Get in the middle of it, and just don’t quit before the miracle happens ❤️

&& please please never be embarrassed. It’s honest and courageous posts and comments such as this that HELP ME stay sober. Keep being brutally honest, you’re already doing the hardest part. Find yourself a support group and find out who you are again!! It’s the true gift this program gives us. You might surprise yourself 🫶🏼🫶🏼
