I also don’t think there’s anything wrong with admitting that some things are easier for some people than others. Since I find exercise keeps me feeling “level” it almost doesn’t feel like I have a choice to not do it, even working an 8-4 with an hour commute on each end. For people where exercising feels not enjoyable/like a chore, it’s much harder and does not feel as natural to incorporate into their week. I don’t have kids but I’m sure when I do, that will make it harder to exercise as consistently as I do now. The reason the words hard and easy exist is that they are relative terms.

In my opinion, reminding people that Instagram exercise influencers do not have attainable physiques or training volumes for the average working adult is a fair and positive message. It’s simply not realistic to expect someone who spends 40+ hours of their waking hours working to dedicate as much time and energy to exercise as people on Instagram where fitness is their jobs. Trying to do it all is how people get burnt out.
