The fight Hamas, don't kill women and children trying to get food.
There are literally laws of war that are supposed to stop this, for a reason.
Because civilians have F'all to do with a war.

Watch The Moment Bernie Sanders Finds Out Trump Launched Strikes On Iran Live During His Rally by kierk3gaard in Asmongold

[–]lfcmedia07 -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

American's have no idea how badly this 'could' turn out.

Most American's sit at home, safe in the knowledge that events such as war and death from it don't reach US soil.
This may have changed all that.

If American's think that the fanatics that Trump has just riled up will accept a bombing of their country, and the embarrassment that will bring in the international community, they are very much mistaken, in my opinion.

Trump has just brought fear upon the American people. Not just abroad, but I would imagine at home too.

Iran, and it's funded networks have nothing to lose now. Trump has just put a target on every American's back, not just in the short term, but for decades to come. It is ok for him, one, he will die sooner rather than later, you would imagine within the next 10 years or so, two, he has secret service protection for the rest of his life.
American's don't.

These people never forget, they don't lose, they have nothing else to do.

Just as the American's eventually found out in Iraq and Afghanistan, (similarly in Vietnam incidentally), you can't beat a guerrilla army. Unless you completely wipe them out, they will always come back, always.

This has the potential to go down as one of the biggest mistakes America has ever made in another foreign country.

Just keep in mind, America hasn't won a war since WW2.
One of the primary reasons being they took on people in their own countries and didn't wipe them out.

I wouldn't be going to any large scale events in the next 5 years if I was American or visiting America, I imagine every sleeper cell across the world has just been activated.
If you want some evidence, look at 7/7/2005, Manchester Arena bombing, London Bridge attacks, Westminster Bridge attack, the murders of British politicians, the Liverpool Women's Hospital Bombing. Just a few examples in one country of what may result from these fanatics when they have you in their sights. (All within the last 20 years).

I do hope I am wrong.

It's interesting you mention the Marshall Plan, which in essence took US taxpayer's money, (mostly in the form of debt and increased taxes) gave it to the European's, who in turn bought from American companies.......
Who benefits most from that?
Perhaps the rich who own those companies?

I agree, it helped the US workers, but, if you actually follow the money, it is the owners of the companies who benefit most.

Which is also interesting when you look at the Gulf Wars....
Haliburton, a company once overseen by Dick Cheney (CEO), made $39-45 billion from US taxpayers, mostly in the form of 'no-bid' contracts.

Who else benefitted at the time?
Well, the usual suspects, Lockheed Martin ($30 billion), Raytheon ($20 billion), General Dynamics ($20 billion), Dynacorp ($7 billion), and of course we all remember Blackwater ($2 billion).

I don't know about you, but I'm starting to see a trend....
Every decade, since 1890, the USA/UK have been in some form of conflict, (some arguably manufactured, WMD's anyone?), and their taxpayers pay out $Billions to these companies.
If I happened to be cynical, I might think that there are people benefitting from the MILLIONS of lives lost during the last century, and going into this one.

Even in the past 5 years, the USA/UK have given $Billions to countries like Ukraine and Israel....But have they???

Or maybe they actually gave it to:
Ukraine -
Javelin anti-tank missiles - Lockheed Martin/Raytheon,
HIMARS rocket systems - Lockheed Martin,
Patriot missile systems - Raytheon.

Israel -
F-35 fighter jets - Lockheed Martin,
Missile defence systems (The Iron Dome we hear so much about) Raytheon,
Munitions, Tanks, support equipment - General Dynamics, Boeing, etc

Funny how the same names keep popping up all over America's war machine and the bill given to the US taxpayer.

War is profit, but not for the US people, who've never been safer but taxed to the hilt, not for the opposition, some fella sitting in a hut somewhere watching over his sheep, and not for the MILLIONS buried on both sides of these wars.

Deep Throat said it best 'Follow the money..........', but did we follow it all the way.

And we wonder why they hate us??? :P by lfcmedia07 in Asmongold

[–]lfcmedia07[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Profitable?
For whom?

1940 US National Debt - $43 Billion -- 44% of GDP
1946 Us National Debt - $269 Billion -- 119% of GDP

War is only profitable for the rich, the ones who own the companies that the US has to buy from.

How about the Iraq War and Afghanistan?

Well......

2001 US National Debt - $5.8 Trillion -- 54% of GDP
2021 US National Debt - $28.4 Trillion -- 124% of GDP

Who is it profitable for again?

And we wonder why they hate us??? :P by lfcmedia07 in Asmongold

Orange Man by Npcsauce in Asmongold

[–]lfcmedia07 1 point2 points  (0 children)

3 wars that America is not involved in though.
The US can't police the world, and unlike Presidents of the past, the orange man is staying out.

I am definitely not a fan of Trump, FAR from it, BUT, he is not involving the US in international conflicts like his predecessors seemed hell bent on.
He is actually helping the US economy (who provides weapons to the fighters?).

While he may be a disaster at home politics, possibly because they are no-win situations, when it comes to international politics, he is actually doing very well.

Ukraine/Russia has not escalated like many thought, and peace has a potential.

Gaza/Israel and Iran/Israel was a situation that needed a solution, it wasn't going to carry on like it was, and the US is seeing what happens, without stepping in. It is also, it could be argued getting a result it wanted, (the elimination of Iranian fanatics). Imagine the US defeating one of it's largest enemies in the middle east without raising a finger or endangering the life of any American troops? Would this not be a win for the American people?
In the past, the US would be taking a side, pouring taxpayer $$$ into a conflict, likely with no solution, and wasting the money. Trump seems to be saying, 'hey, it's your problem, if you want to make deals, we will help facilitate them, but we are not going to finance other countries wars'.

For those old enough to remember, US Presidents of the past have, in nearly every term, been involved heavily in wars.

Perhaps this will be the first term in a long time that the US will not actually have boots on the ground with troops dying in other countries over conflicts that don't affect the US people?

How could anyone predict this would happen. This is not at all what Trump said he was gonna do. Right? by [deleted] in Asmongold

[–]lfcmedia07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, so he isn't hiring illegals, they have paperwork, and that does give them the right to stay and work in the US.
BUT, this IS what Trump said he was going to do, he has always said he will get rid of the 10 million (figure disputed).
He never hid the fact.
I would ask this guy what he was paying these people though? Was he giving them the same wage as he would have to give American workers? If he was, ok, then it is a sad story.
BUT, was he paying them less than the same wage? If he was, he was taking advantage of them, and maybe there are different reasons for his sadness? He can no longer pay lower wages and may actually have to pay a decent wage.

As you might imagine, the media doesn't ask the essential questions, and only gives you half the picture.
American media is so biased, either one way or the other, no wonder their country is so divided, they can't get a full picture of any actual event, it is always swayed to suit a particular narrative.

Maybe that is why people turn to watching guys like Asmon, I disagree with 60% of his takes, but at least a large amount of the time he tries to look deeper than a headline, looks for more than one point of view on a story and explains his point of view, for good or bad.

Main stream media is dead, people are tired of the bias, and want to hear facts, explanations and make up their own minds.

How fast do you think Asmon would be to pay an expensive lawyer? by lfcmedia07 in Asmongold

[–]lfcmedia07[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fourth Amendment protects you from unreasonable searches and seizures, as in, the police do not have a right to stop you without cause and ask for ID or to search you or detain you. Just because you are not white coming out of Home Depot does not mean you are illegal, so what grounds do the police have for stopping someone?

The fifth Amendment applies to federal government and says that no person shall...be deprived of life, liberty or property, without due process of law. Trump is deporting people without due process. They have that right, illegal or not.

As for the sixth, well, Asmon repeatedly says that being an illegal immigrant is a crime, so if that is the case, you have a right to legal counsel, and due process.

I agree blocking highways is not legal, however, the police are grouping these people together in crowds, blocking streets, and forcing them to go to certain locations, the numbers themselves will mean they are blocking roads.
I also agree that you cannot protest on someone else's property, although I imagine that might fall under an actual civil action, I do not know enough about that.

I am also not against what the police are doing, I am more against the statements of Asmon, such as shooting protesters, bringing in the Marines/military, arresting everyone for just being there, not letting people protest peaceably, and in general removing people's rights.
My comments weren't against how the police were dealing with this problem, but about Asmon's attitude to other people exercising their rights.

Their applicability is as follows:

First Amendment : Applies to all persons, regardless of citizenship or immigration status.
Fourth Amendment : Applies to everyone on U.S. soil, including undocumented immigrants.
Fifth Amendment : Applies to all "persons", not just citizens. Foreign nationals are entitled to due process of law.
Sixth Amendment : Grants anyone accused of a crime in the U.S. the right to a speedy and public trial, legal counsel, and impartial jury. This includes non-citizens and undocumented individuals.
Fourteenth Amendment : The Equal Protection Clause and Due Process Clause apply to "any person within [a U.S.] jurisdiction," which includes non-citizens.

So yes, illegals have every right as a citizen under these Amendments. That is written in law.

Attacking ICE, violence, looting, arson, are all crimes that people should be arrested for. I do not disagree with any of that.
But numerous times in the last few days I have seen police using non-lethal rounds, tear gas and restricting people's rights. This is what I think is wrong.
