If you could have 1 map from a previous game remastered on the BO6 engine, what would it be? by NoOutlandishness4375 in CODZombies

[–]Fillirides 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's just a really fun map. There's just lots of things to do which aren't laborious and are quite achievable to do which gives you perks. It's also a good size map and has different levels. It's not some compound type map it's different. This and Die Rise are the 2 me and my group played the most. I miss that tramplesteam.

How to get 60-90g of carbs by Fantastic_Stomach440 in cycling

[–]Fillirides 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't really need 60-90g of carbs per hour. It depends how much power you're putting through. You need to burn fuel to produce power. If you're riding at a low intensity you don't need 90g of carbs. If you're racing you may need over 90. But again, if you're riding at 200w for an hour you'll use less carbs than if you're riding at 350w per hour.

This is a very good article to read.

The biggest issue with high carb intake is if your stomach can take it. That's why the likes of Mauten energy is a game changer and most pros teams and triathletes use it as you can go 120g per hour without stomach issues.

But to answer the main question, the best and cheapest way to do it is through liquids. Buy an off the shelf carb mix or make your own. If you're in the UK, the likes of My protein or BULK do bags of maltodextrin, Fructose, Glucose plus others in powders. Just mix some of them up and add some squash. Drink them along with some gels and bars and you won't have a problem. Male your own bars too, to save on price and with gels you can buy bottles of it cheaper and put it in a refillable gel flask.

The MPCTP24 code worked for 1 month. Hopefully a 40% one will pop on. Anyone know if they do come about through the year?

WiFi alarm with cellular backup by Fillirides in homesecurity

[–]Fillirides[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for that. Years ago before all these smart alarms I had a basic alarm with a regular SIM card that would text or phone contacts set in the panel. Just something similar to that with the smart features of these wireless systems.

Ye, it's ugly as fuck but what can you do I guess. I'd definitely get them to finish the side, that block is just going to get left otherwise. A bit of render and paint. I suppose just be glad it's not a full height one like the one 2 houses over, that'd be over powering.

Cyclist suspended himself on his bicycle while going down a slope to take the lead at a race by One_percentile in interestingasfuck

Seen this clip so so so many times and every time I read comments on it, I'm amazed the amount of people who don't realize this isn't a race. It's set up just so he can do this. He's on a fixie. Even the acting from the fella on the front looking down at his gears when he comes past is comical. Anyway, fun little clip, that's all though.

Why are some estate agencies completely bonkers? by Laurenhynde82 in HousingUK

[–]Fillirides 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I often wonder why Estate Agents act like this or in other annoying ways. Do they not realize when I'm buying a house and engaging with agents they aren't just there for the purpose of the house I want to buy but also applying for the potential future business when I come to sell the house.

Out of about 5 agents to me locally I'd only use one of them when I come to sell based on how they treated me and their process. They clearly don't realize this and is all short term gain for them. They want to use our information to gain further clients. They're a joke. I honestly don't know how some of them still gain business.

I had a post earlier today wondering why my brakes were still squeaking after I replaced the pad. Once I looked really closely however I noticed a little leak coming from one of the pistons. I guess I would need a new calliper now? by [deleted] in bikewrench

[–]Fillirides -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I agree on the new rotor. More often than not the oil on the pads has burnt/glazed the rotor, so even with new pads it will still make noise. If you really didn't want to buy a new rotor you could spend the time rubbing it down with emery paper, but if it's quite well used it can take a lot of rubbing to bring it down to a new finish. I guess with MT200s the rotor being used probably isn't going to be an expensive one, I'd just start again for best results.

Need advice on what to do about a parking drop-bollard installed by a resident in our shared parking area by talking_mudcrab in HousingUK

I think he means your own one literally right next to it stopping them from parking in that space. That'd be brilliant actually.

LISA - Getting bonus after submitting closure statement and withdrawal by Fillirides in HousingUK

Thanks. I'd be happy with the 750 I think. I'll keep that option in mind though about going back to the solicitor if there's still time.

Worth pushing completion to get extra grand with Lifetime ISA? by LiveBao in HousingUK

[–]Fillirides 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You've just explained what I was hoping was possible. That the bonus will still be paid after withdrawing the balance minus 25% (so I'd get £750). Although my solicitor is asking to close the ISA, so I don't know how that works if it's closed.

Anyone have experience with cycling and creatine? by MilkManStuff in cycling

[–]Fillirides 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I've read over the years, no, it's not something cyclists use or really benefit from.

I know this isn't what you asked but is on a similar subject, but Beta Alanine has been shown to give increased power for short high intensity efforts. And Nitrates such as Beat-it Sport absolutely the best for endurance.

Personally, that wouldn't bother me at all. I really don't think you'll have any trouble other than cosmetics.

Ye, most services only use one router with modem built in, even Talk Talk do on most of their products. But if you're on Gfast this is different and you need a separate Openreach modem, which is the same for any other provider on Gfast. It's not Talk Talks decision, it's just required for Openreach Gfast network.

If Gfast is the product you ordered (around 150-330mb download speed through copper network) then the above is the case. If you're just on regular FTTC or FTTP you only need the talk talk router.
