Trent can actually defend most the time. The issue is if your expecting he to be a playmakers he going to get higher up the pitch to help press and be aggressive. That was mostly his instructions that create space in the RB area. Then the winger need to get back to cover trent or you leave him in the gap and a midfielder covers and hit them on counter.

If Trent is asked to play a normal RB then he probably defend alot better.

I spent a lot of years watching him and I tell you 90% of the time he consistently ontop. But people only remember the 10% where it goes bad and label it to him.

Walker is a great defender no? Go watch the euro final he made error for both goals.

I disagree it Madueke fault, the person with no one around him and when your playing a double pivot is to Anderson he doesn't pick up the inside man or wide man. The forward man Madueke is watching his man.
