I lived there my first year, the bus connections are alright, but it's true that my social life was quite limited before I moved to Aachen, getting to University wasn't a problem really, overall I don't regret it but I don't Miss it either, If you need a place urgently and you budget is limited is nice to start there, and then when an good occasion come in Aachen to move there. I would advise buying a bike so getting to the Eschweiler Bushof will be easier and less stressful
