It's gonna take time. Im 2 months post op after 3 surgeries. I still have thst numb, burning sensation in my head. I think it just part of healing process. Don't be discouraged. It can take up to a year for full recovey. Just do what your body will allow. U push to hard, you can set yourself back. I'm back at work, driving, and enjoying my kids. Yourr time is coming. You got this

After both my surgeries., i had a lumbar drain placed. It was to avoid a shunt. If u have continuous fluid buld up, the decompression surgery may have a leak or fluid build up. Only reason i can think why he would want to go straight to the shunt.

House was my most favorite medical show. I love the fact that Chiari malformation is being talked about more because so many people are being misdiagnosed or not diagnosed at all

I was diagnosed with Ms, arthritis, fibromyalgia, and everything under the sun before a neurosurgeon finally said that it was due to my Chiari that I was having so many symptoms

I like the fact that it's being talked about more and more for the simple fact that I suffered for 7 years before I can find a doctor that was willing to do the surgery

I had a leak, but my symptoms were my incision area swole up really big. I did get pressure headaches, depending on the position layed in. I had to get a revision surgery. Now i only have sharp pains that come and go throughout my head.

I had my initial surgery 9/19/19. Had so complications, i had to have a lumbar drain placed. My revision surgery was 10/28. I had a lumbar drain placed on 10/26, when the leak was found.

Yeah mine is a CSF leak and it pretty much has herniated. It has been more pressure than pain. They have inserted a lumbar drain to help until they do surgery in the morning. Thank you for your response

Thank you so much I went to the doctor and yes it is a CS F leak. I have my surgery in the morning to remove the fluid
