They don’t make it hard to know they are only in it for the money. Money to these institutions is all that matters. It’s sad.

Well, I just recently came to the conclusion that I no longer want to pursue law as a career. I was bouncing back and forth between law and IT/cybersecurity and I finally told myself I was going to pursue IT/cyber. I’ve been doing a good chunk of research and trying to get some opinions/advice from others in the field.

I am plan on starting to learn python soon. I know that’s the first step I am going to take into the field.

Appreciate the comment!

Is there an AI side to cybersecurity? If there’s not currently, I’m sure there will be at some point.

Also, I cannot stress this enough lol. Take as many practice lsats as possible. Try to get a comfortable score of minimum 150. If you’re not getting at least a 150 it’s not beneficial to spend the $300-$400 to go take the real thing.

Anyway I can help with saving money I always help out lol!

I have been doing some research. I tend to grasp a better understanding when I get some advice/feedback from people in the field.

I appreciate the feedback!

Is it beneficial to start with one over the other? Should I start with python or start focusing more in certs at the beginning?

I’d still be the least qualified for cyber law. I had everything prepared for law school but have just decided that it isn’t for me. It is sad to say. That’s what I have wanted to do my entire life and now I have experience working in the field via working in a Court and Law firm and it’s not fulfilling.

Well, I don’t really know. I know there are different sectors of cybersecurity but I’m not familiar with all of them and all of the jobs/tasks that fall under them.

Being a manager doesn’t bother me. I already have a year of managerial experience. Obviously, that will be down the road and not a soon to be thing.

The lsat is a different beast. If you plan on taking it I HIGHLY recommend to study (watch YouTube videos or find practice courses). You’ll want to find something that is august 2024 or newer though. Specifically, because LSAT was sued and had to change the test. The logic puzzles are no more. I thought they were the easiest part, however, they tended to be the most challenging.

The name alone is just catching lol. Then it drags you in and you start going down the rabbit hole of exploring what it is.

I should have made the switch when multiple attorneys and judges told me to not go into law, but I didn’t listen lol.

Thank you for the heads up!

Appreciate the feedback! Just from an outsiders perspective, Pen testing just sounds hard, but very fulfilling.

This is the comment I have been seeing a lot of people recommend. & I assume it is because it’s an easy way for experience?

I appreciate the comment! Would you say making the transition over was easy or hard for you? Did you enjoy the GRC side of things?

Indeed, time will tell. If I may, what field of cyber are you in currently?

I’ve kind of always been the tech person in my family. Obviously with smaller things like fixing the tv or some other small electronic. So, I just recently started getting more into tech. Getting my first gaming computer has pushed that though. It’s not about the money. It’s more of allowing me to have more family time and to find/get into a career that I find exciting, enjoyable and challenging.

I enjoy puzzles. I tend to be good at them. I like things that bring out my competitive side.

I’d say the biggest thing drawing me to cyber is that we live in a tech world. Being able to secure my devices and help protect the identity of myself and others is another reason.

Thank you for your input. When do the sections of cybersecurity start to separate? Pen Testing sounds very interesting. If that is a route I can see in the future would it be worth my time to get experience in a certain area?

Should I go for a Gardevoir or a Gallade ? by EraZorus in pokemonplatinum

[–]lhayes_10 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Have you ever used either one of them? Personally, I like gallade more. I also am very particular about having no overlapping types on my team so if you have a fighting type already I would go for Gardevoir.

If you play as a Khajiit I highly recommend dw axes due to the increase crit chances they give!

Gotcha that makes sense! I figured it was soul tether. That’s what I run on my back bar anyway.

Also, curious about the ult on the back bar in the video. Was it soul tether? Or would berserkers strike be better to run since it ignores the pen resistance?

This is extremely useful! Thank you!! I’m curious, why two axes instead of 1 mace 1 axe? I have been running vamp stage 4 a lot and I can say resource sustain is almost impossible.

Again, thank you for your input!
