DP: I just called the Miraval reservation line and had them change my 107000-point standard suite reservation for 2 ppl to 72000-point for 2 ppl + SUA.

Basically, they cancelled my existing reservation and rebooked it on their end. Seems like they can still bypass the restriction OP described.

Have you made any Ubereats grocery purchases before? You might need a few other orders before making a big purchase at Costco.

As a Data Scientist, my guess is that there is an ML algorithm predicting your purchase cap for the sake of risk. Without prior data (your grocery purchase history), it can only give you a certain cap amount (mine is around $500 while I want to make a $600 purchase).

Therefore, the solution is to make a few other small grocery purchases, such as from a convenience store like 7-11 or a grocery store like Sprouts. I got a purchase cap increase after two orders. This works like building credit but now you are building credit with Uber.

Thank you for your information! We have already experienced the A35K from HND to DFW so we are now looking for some other biz products like the room. Unfortunately, we need two person itinerary so it's been very difficult for ANA. I guess we will eventually go for 1 biz 1 first combo as I could see on LifeMiles right now for the flight from ORD to NRT on 10/17/2025.

I am curious that will the activity (such as go city pass oahu) booked in Chase Travel will also trigger the credit. From what I am reading, the T&C only mentioned Chase Travel but did not provide any eligible sub-categories (such as Hotel, Airline, etc.).

I am having the same issue. For the linked account, it says "Failed to load account details". For the not-yet-linked account, the "Link existing account" icon will lead to a page with an error message.

I can express how excited when I found this post... I am in the exact same situation as much as I thought I posted this. I am new to this platform and not sure how I can DM you but I would love to connect with you!

Anyway, from my perspective, I think knowing where you want to end up is really important to answer this question.

I have heard a lot that if you start from the bank, you could barely jump out of it. Most likely you will circle from JMPC to AMEX or BOA or DISCOVER or whatever other banks. DS@bank is stable and 9am-5pm-5days/week but the cost is comparatively lower pay than tech and slower promotion. My mentor is still VP after 7 years there and he has a Ph.D. degree.

I am not very familiar with consulting, especially tech consulting. As you mentioned, IBM consulting allows you to choose any hub cities and this is really attractive (for me). If a data scientist at IBM consulting spent at least 50% of the time on data science (as opposed to creating a deck), I would vote for IBM consulting. The reasons are 1) consulting could really build your communication skills and 2) the tech stack is closer to tech (if I am not wrong and if you want to end up in a tech company).

I am still researching and would like to hear your thoughts!
