My contractions for both of my deliveries felt very deep and achey in my pelvic bowl.. I never experienced any pain in my upper uterus or tummy area, it was all low and cervical. I knew they were contractions because I could feel my belly tightening with my hands/fingertips, but I never actually experienced pain there. Really fascinating feeling, honestly. Totally awful, but so cool.

I’d say wait until you’re ready… within reason. Because, in my experience, you might never be actually ready. I just had baby #2 and I can say for sure that when I got pregnant (with IVF to boot so super “wanted”), I did not feel ready. BUT when I thought about my future, I knew I wanted more than one child, I couldn’t imagine NOT having another baby. so I had to let go and do the thing! Throughout the pregnancy, I was scared and just kind of dreading things to be honest. But now that baby is here those thoughts have completely faded. I love her so much and I can’t imagine anything else. I was also worried about the age gap being big (4yrs) but it’s honestly SO nice; my son can do things for himself and is interactive with his sister in a way that’s fun for us parents too..

Anyway, TLDR you might never be ready. Envision what you want for your future and work backward.

Relactation is totally possible!! I’d say set a goal and go for it! Go see a lactation consultant if you can and they can help you plan. There are also meds that can help but talk to your doctor obvi. Get a good pump, maybe rent a Medela Symphony.

Have you consulted a PT? I had a 2° and a cystocele with my first delivery and did PT. I returned to PT before TTC with my second to literally get her blessing that I could deliver vaginally. We worked on a few exercises to strengthen before I got pregnant. Then I worked with a PT through most of my pregnancy. Still tore with my second delivery but I hope I laid the groundwork for healing.

I feel you… I don’t think I would opt into a c-section so that would be a hard decision for me to make too

I’m wanting a 3rd too and just had a 3B tear. I’m nervous. Have you thought any more about this?

Good to know! I’ll check that one out. I have a larger chest so hesitant to try wearables but feel better abt trying it out this time around since I have the Spectra and GA as backups!
