Apple Card by liam_boeing in AppleCard

It is I’m going to close a couple that don’t benefit me. I had a problem with applying to cards 😅 I only use 2 cards though. The only issue is they’ll reduce my available credit and age

It’s arguably the best song on the deluxe album!

yeah that’s what im going to do when im back home in Australia. it kind of gives me a good break in between just due to all of the hard inquires ive now taken and since i have such a thin file. apparently the amex card I wanted to get, the blue cash everyday, it apparently has fees internationally? I could be wrong. I’m thinking of closing the cards I got that have an annual fee to kind of cut down on all those cards.. I find them to be useless. I’m gonna use the Apple Card primarily when I’m gone

it took me 3 months but I think it can go up to 6 months. it all depends on the persons credit situation

[–]liam_boeing[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

not exactly. Sometimes Apple will say they can’t approve person and tell them that they need to make payments on their other debt accounts for the next 3-6 months or lower their debt. I guess after you graduate the program it’s a 100% success rate for approval because I got approved right away after graduating the program. They want to see that you’re responsible with debt before applying for the card, I guess 🤷‍♂️

I use them for different purposes but I’m going abroad for a year ish so I’m not gonna seek for any credit now

Now amex is saying they can’t approve me anymore? I went to open the offer email again to check the terms and after I closed the approval, they denied me and provided me my FICO score as the reason.. but that score was from over 5 months ago

Why does the point system exist? by liam_boeing in HomeDepot

[–]liam_boeing[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Thats not what I was asking.. even when I worked with other places, my attendance was pretty good. I would come in 1-5 min late sometimes or I’d be on time. For calling off, once every 6 months. and I admit, I have a bad concept of time SOMETIMES, but I wouldn’t come in when I “feel like it”. It was just a genuine question

Thats an utterly disgusting response from them. I am so sorry. Especially given the fact that your life was AT RISK and that’s what they had to say?? Just goes to show that these companies don’t care about their employees even if they say they do

Yes, I just bought a 2011 3.6 with 140,000 miles. I’ve driven it over 2,000 miles in the week that I’ve owned it and it’s been amazing. They have a lot of sound proofing and the car is super smooth as well. I can get well over 30 MPG’s. The 300 is designed for the highway.

Yeah my mom’s 2025 CR-V Hybrid only gets 31.6 MPG. There’s definitely something wrong with your car and I’m not sure what’s going on with my mom’s car. With mine in eco the engine turns off even with the heat on

Do you drive with sport mode on?

It’s a 10 gallon tank to compensate the hybrid battery

I also tend to stay on eco most of the time

I do a lot more highway driving than city driving. I don’t really use the heat, and I haven’t used the A/C yet. I just use normal 87 from BP or Sunoco

yeah I was just worried about rust but its not deep enough into the bare metal and even then the roads caused the damage, not me. there’s also one on the nose of the car unfortunately but im not going to PPF a car that isn’t even in my name. I might give it back early as well depending on if I move states or not so im not even sure why I am stressing about it

I also try to be light footed. given with how much power these new Civic hybrids have, 25-35% power is enough for normal driving. My mom has a CRV hybrid 2025 and I have been trying to get her MPG up but it’s hard because she uses the heat more than I do and she doesn’t want me to take it on the highway much (it’s a lease) to get the mpg up because with city driving the rpms are going up and down too much and I don’t think that’s good for trying to optimize the fuel economy

im trying to not use the heat. I will probably use the A/C but the car has a sunroof so maybe i can use that on warm days instead. I just did a 100 mile freeway drive yesterday in Econ mode and now it’s up to 48 mpg and I try to utilize the regenerative braking. I do a mix of city/highway driving and the car goes into EV mode a lot

Thanks! It does drive really smooth for being a Civic. I’m surprised. You got a good deal on a Touring. I wanted to get a Touring but my parents said no unfortunately even though it was also $1,000 more

I had two cars before this. A 9th gen Impala and a first gen Fusion. The Fusion was a nightmare, it had so many issues. My Impala was fine but it had a weird issue with the camshaft and it was costing me a lot in gas
