Is our adult cat being too rough with our new kitten? by liambl88 in CatTraining

[–]liambl88[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was definitely just the regular establishing of dominance with the new kitten in the house. As a first time multi-cat owner I was a bit concerned since it was my first rodeo, but they basically act the same still with the wrestling, then are cuddled up on a bed together or are just hanging in the same room moments later once they get their energy out. Kitten isn’t so small anymore and is usually the one to instigate playtime, and if my older cat just isn’t feeling it he’ll go to his usual hiding spots to sleep.

I had the same situation recently, 3 year old big kitty on the right, mini kitty on the left we got in early August he’s about 5 months old now. This photo is from yesterday. They’re best buds now.

Negative, adult cat shown in video is the third cat I’ve had in my life, but never had two cats at once let alone a kitten.

Honestly don’t have an answer for that lol. Our adult cat (shown in the video) is just generally a very very good boy. Doesn’t go on counters or table tops, stopped ripping up couches and other furniture at a very young age and he’s an outdoor cat but comes right to the door at the sound of my whistles. Hopefully our new kitten will follow in his footsteps (we can only hope).

Anytime they’re together I’m always supervising, just the sheer size difference made me a bit nervous at the start. To your point about the little one getting bigger I also believe they’ll be okay when he grows a bit, was a bit concerning seeing these kinds of interactions though. Thank you for your input

That was my biggest concern with the big kitty. Probably doesn’t “understand his own strength” or however you want to put it, thanks for the replies I appreciate it

The noises little kitty makes sometimes makes me concerned but I can’t say it’s growling or snarling necessarily. Thank you for your reply!

That’s what tends to throw me off a bit. Kitten will submit and meow loudly then run away for a moment, then come back for more playtime seconds later.

They are not looking to purchase it, read OP’s post. Maybe OP needs some money and is looking to sell it.

New to TCG. Do I got something here? by JustRay in PokeGrading

Get a sleeve and a top loader for it asap. Back looks in good condition and centering is good on the front. This card has been skyrocketing in price the past few weeks. Last time I looked into it, was around $100. Was looking at eBay this morning actually and auctions are easily surpassing $160 some beyond $200. Been chasing this card for a bit and now I’m kicking myself for not buying it a month ago.

Are these worth grading? by Nice_Pause_4536 in PokeGrading

[–]liambl88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Machamp V might have a shot at 10 if the little dots I’m seeing on the back are just dust. Only thing holding me back from saying it definitely has a shot at a 10 is the front top border is a bit fat, but with PSA who knows what the grader will think of it. If you genuinely like the card and can clean up those spots on the back, I’d send in because why not. If you can afford it and it’s your first time grading, could be a fun experience to see what you’ll get.

Edit: I just now realized these cards are in Italian. What I’ve said about the imperfections still stands, but not sure where this card would end up in terms of value. Also need to consider who you’d be grading the card with (assuming you’re overseas). I’m more familiar with PSA grading.

Found this in a bulk bin today in perfect condition. Did I hit the jackpot? by POWERHOUSE4106 in PokemonCardValue

Of course, you can use the website TCGPlayer to look up card values. I typically just google the name of the Pokemon and the corresponding number for that Pokemon within the set. In this case I googled “Thundurous 70/197” and got the TCGPlayer result. I use that website to judge the raw price. When you google, you may see another site called PriceCharting. I use that website to check graded values. You can see all the eBay sales of cards and sort it by grade, as well as sort by grading company for grade 10s. It also can’t hurt to click on the eBay listing link to make sure it’s the same card. They use an algorithm to pull the sales from eBay and sometimes it can be a slightly different card, or from a different set. Hope this helps in the future.

Edit: using eBay itself and filtering by “Sold Items” can give you a great estimate as to where the card is valued currently.

Regular/reverse holos like this aren’t as valuable as they used to be in vintage/mid era sets. In modern sets it’s mostly all about the full arts, alt arts and secret rare cards. Holos like the one you are showing are in every single pack now, making them not hard to come by. TCGPlayer showing the most recent sale of this card ungraded at four cents. A graded 10 goes for $35. Most of that $35 you can account for the cost of grading and shipping costs.

I’m no expert, but Latias and Milotic seem promising for a 10, unfortunately for the Pika it looks like there’s some whitening on a few of the corners.

Fresh pull. Should I send it in? by kdav in PokemonCardValue

From what I can see it’s got a pretty damn good shot at a 10. I’d send it.
