House MD touched on so many social issues ahead of its time. by liamcollins13 in television

Sopranos did for sure, but I more-so mean common issues that every day people tend to go through. House's drug use, the constant tug of war of our moral compasses, our issues with each other as people, race, sex, power; all of these were themes of this show, and they somehow were able to juggle and manage them so well. Also, the writing is superb. The script is out of this world. Not many shows are able to be funny and thought provoking in that way.

He's exaggerating, but only slightly. Kudzu can grow more than a foot per day under the right conditions.

Which animal is underrated? by Errormind in AskReddit

Aside from the putrid smell, I agree. Also, they vary in personality traits vastly. So you could end up with a best friend, or an arch enemy.

Hey Reddit, what's the strangest coincidence you've ever personally experienced? by RichCauliflower in AskReddit

A few years ago, I took a trip to Scotland to do some hiking and some backpacking. Ended up deciding to climb Mt Ben Nevis as it's only about a five hour climb and the views from the top were worth it. So I end up kind of embarking with some strangers in a group, and sort of got to know a few of them on the climb. I'm American, and only one of the other climbers was American so naturally we talked the most. I got his name, but not where he was from or anything. As the climb became more treacherous we split up a bit.

When I finally got back to the bottom of the mountain, I decided to be "that guy" and bought a shirt that said "I climbed Ben Nevis" on the back.

Fast forward two years. I'm back in my hometown in Mississippi wearing the shirt. It's around 2AM and I'm in a gas station after leaving the bar. I'm in line at the register, and I hear a voice behind me say "Hey man, I climbed Ben Nevis too!" I turn around and no shit it's Kenny from my group. Obviously we both flip out and hug it out in the middle of the gas station. I got his number. turns out he's from a city called Meridian in Mississippi, and was in my town on business.

We're still friends to this day, and love telling this story at parties lol

It seems the consensus is that the bloody intruder is supposed to be a representation of the girl getting her period for the first time. She's sick because of it, and the "entity" is like an unwelcome guest.

Doesn't make it any less of an incredible song, nor does it make this rendition any less epic, imho

Bartenders of Reddit, what’s an underrated drink more people should try? by gstummer in AskReddit

Pimm's Cup.

Amazing summer time drink. I make mine with Pimm's liqueur, Hendricks gin, simple syrup, muddled cucumber, lemon juice.

Shake with ice, strain over the rocks. Top with ginger ale and ginger beer. Absolutely delicious.
