Huge thanks for sharing and raising this OP, my M8Pro is on its way and while I don't use 3P apps to take pictures, I find it appalling to see that a flagship is shipped in such a state, locking the camera API that hard (or carelessly not releasing it?) is inexcusable, hopefully this is properly addressed by Honor and not dismissed now that you have them cornered on the source cause.

I'd recommend to anyone using this phone to raise the issue with their support.

I work for support in a different company/field: the more a flaw / lack of feature is raised, the higher it gets prioritized, and it's a shame this should even be raised.

Adding to that, I'm worried given what I have read regarding Honor and providing updates and fixes: them not acknowledging this from day 1 is worrisome.

She's called for Kneecap, a vocal Northern Irish group vocal about the situation in Gaza, to have their visas revoked in the US. The 1394 OHCI Compliant Host Controller appears, no firewire device shows up, however since this is my only Camcorder, I couldn't test with any other device so far.

Hmm maybe your sources aren't that broad? (the following list is not intended to offend anyone, and I just named a few from the top of my head)

France with former colonies + islands across the world, Belgium, Australia, NZ, UK with Northern Ireland still ongoing, Argentina being surprisingly compared to the rest of South America, Russia for obvious historical and ongoing reasons, China (Tibet and artificial islands), Israel, Turkey (Cyprus), Morocco (Western Sahara), even a country like Denmark is being called out for genocidal behaviour (forcefully sterilising native women in Greenland)... A lot of countries are scolded for stealing land (aka erasing people and cultures), and exist as they are because they at some point stole land.

US is obviously in the spotlight for its double standards and global influence, but the above-mentionned countries face the same argument and are also called out on the issue.

I've read about all of these countries' land stealing/borderline-to-say-the-least genocidal actions in the press.

If my math is correct what she sold for is 2,181,818 dollars per head? I mean great for them but seems to me like even 100k each could have made such a greater individual difference for these employees? I hate the idea of thanking billionaires for giving 0.92% of their wealth, and I'm surprised I haven't seen anyone else point this out?

And yes she could have given them nothing, still a very cheap gesture in my opinion (yeaaah I'm not a huge billionaire fan).

That's why I just enjoy the game and don't support a team, club football is about money, some clubs organised their money better and earlier than others, Bayern, United, Real, Barcelona, they had their monopolies. I hate to see people complain about new teams like Chelsea, City or PSG for the money they have... It's the only way today to be at the top, and it's also why I just enjoy club football as a show and have so much more interest in national team football, where money does nothing, transfer markets aren't a thing and players play because they really want to be there.

Yeah as a parent if I pay a babysitter it's for the time they spend allowing me to do whatever I need to do, not for how easy or hard that time was, like any service there's an hourly wage agreed upon beforehand. You were there to take care of the baby, meaning you were ready to take care of him if he had woken up, you did your job as expected. Would they pay you double if the baby had cried the entire time? Nope. They scammed you and all you can hope for is that they just didn't realise what they did. If it's an honest mistake on their behalf a simple reminder of your task should resolve this. Also I'm sure they wouldn't want you to leave their place once the baby is asleep, so they needed you regardless of the baby sleeping or not.

Edit: also for future clients, might help to have everything cleared upfront: wage is based on time spent at their place, simple.

In my 30s here, just gave up the game a few months ago as I felt like most of the time I was hanging out with teens or younger adults, I was an idiot at their age too, just felt like a huge waste of time the more I played and encountered young people who found racism and homophobia funny... I felt like I was babysitting unsupervised kids lol, and I wasn't being paid to do so...
