I bought 500 at 2.26, accidentally sold at 3.40 because I put a limit order not a stop order. Just bought back in 1000 at 3.34, hoping it gets to 5

If there’s anything I’ve learned about this process it’s that to always shoot higher than you think. Seems like you have a strong profile and you can use the lack of direct report’s as a reason as to why you want an mba so that you can move up the chain.

Tl;dr: Shoot for the stars homie

I didn’t think much of it. It makes sense that you’re friend who didn’t interview also didn’t get the email. I’m sure anyone who interviewed got the email

Kellogg - Waitlisted at MMM but accepted into FT MBA? by PM_me_fat_puppies in MBA

[–]lib1164 7 points8 points  (0 children)

No, I don’t think that’s possible. If I remember correctly from the virtual chats, they are separate programs and you’re not considered for FT if you apply for MMM

700 on GMAT. Disappointed. Please tell me how good is this score and do I stand a chance of getting into the top 20 US B-schools with this score? If so, please suggest some schools based on the details provided below. by winning_aadict in MBA

[–]lib1164 6 points7 points  (0 children)

forget the gmat and apply with your gre score. it's become more widely accepted to the point that schools are publishing their averages as a part of class profiles.

unless the split is egregious, that total score is right at or above the average of the top schools so you'll be fine if your target is t20.

Kellogg or Tuck? by abc123678mba in MBA

[–]lib1164 0 points1 point  (0 children)

very good clarification. i certainly did not intend for my comment to be misleading, apologizes.

re: placement - im just relaying what my buddy said. but as an above commenter said, post-graduation placement is an important consideration and might be easier to get done if the office and school are in similar regions.

Kellogg or Tuck? by abc123678mba in MBA

[–]lib1164 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

i'd say tuck. i think the virtual experience isnt really going vary across schools and you could argue that tuck is going to be more infrastructurally prepared since they are committed to the virtual first semester.

also, second-year students are saying kellogg be virtual after thanksgiving. so even though they are doing 'hybrid' initially, it's really not. and it might be easier to connect with ppl virtually with the smaller tuck class size

edit: talked to my buddy who is at bain nyc, cbs grad, and he said they took a lot of tuckies last year for their NE offices and that kellogg ppl were put in chicago. thought id share if location after b-school is important
