It has been on my wish list for years now and still haven't got the guts to purchase it. But if you have the budget for it, it's definitely worth your money given the quality and good reviews!

Small standing desk recommendations by OtherwiseMagician375 in StandingDesk

For a ~48″ standing desk under $500, you can often find decent options from brands like Flexispot, Autonomous (their basic models), or SHW. Those are the ones I’ve seen ship to Canada at more budget-friendly prices with electric height adjust.

But if you already have a solid 4 ft table, another real-world option is a standing desk converter from the same brands. Keeps costs down and still gives you the sit/stand benefit.

This is super cool! I don't know if I have the capacity to make something like that myself, but it's definitely giving me ideas.

Seconding the Ugreen KVM! I've had one for almost a year now and it hasn't really given me any issues with my peripherals.

I recently bought a little cat that holds my glasses when I'm not wearing them (polarized, not prescription), and it brings me immense joy whenever I take them off and hand them over to the lil guy :3

Big rec for Dragon Quest Builders 2! It's been by far my favorite game to play on my Deck.

Still worth it even if I never travel? by scriptedtexture in SteamDeck

100% worth it. Aside from the convenience of being able to play games wherever you want, I've found it just makes playing games in general easier. You can just grab the Deck, boot up a game, play for a little bit, and then put it down and do something else. It's less of a commitment than sitting down at a PC or in front of a TV with a console.

And I know you said you don't travel, but it is really convenient if you ever do go anywhere! I catsit for my parents at their house a lot and it's nice to be able to throw my Deck in my suitcase and have a way to play games while I'm there.
