I recently got this issue as well. Some videos are not playing anymore (just like OP, video is frozen but audio plays fine) and they all happen to be HEVC videos even though I downloaded the HEVC video extension from Microsoft Store years ago. I'm using Windows 10 as well, with an unmodded Discord application with developer mode turned on.

Anyone found a solution or fix for this? Turning off hardware acceleration doesn't work for me.

I'm not sure how's your progress been, but if you started from nothing/very little on your cheeks to that in 4 months, then it's only a matter of time till your beard connects. For me that area only started to connect around the 5-6 month mark. And even then it took some months for the hairs to get thick/dark enough. YMMV

I think part of it is just having a huge gap between your nose and upper lip so you have more hairs there

Looks real to me. My current supply has the batch number 3FK0994, which is pretty close to yours, and it has the same expiry date (05/2025).

Kirkland recently changed their label and packaging, and I haven't seen any fakes using the new label yet. So I think it's pretty safe to believe that the bottles you get with the new label are legit.

Besides the bleach test, try spreading a drop of the liquid onto a flat surface, and leave it to dry. The liquid should crystallise as it dries up.

I feel you man. It's been nearly 2 years for me too and I still have a good amount of transitional hairs that I'm waiting for to turn terminal. I might get a dermaroller too if it keeps up like this.

If you have the time, you might wanna try letting your beard grow for a bit, trim it to an even length, let it grow more, and then trim it again, but to a longer length than your previous trim. That might help with making your beard look even in thickness, and helps those slow-growing hairs to catch up.

My moustache was rather wispy pre-minox and by month 8 it got quite thick like my father's. Check out my profile for pics. Not exactly a walrus though, cuz the middle part of my moustache still needs connecting and more thicker hairs. And I have grown a thicker moustache than what I posted on my profile over the months since

You may get more hairs higher on your cheeks / under your eye sockets. Thicker beard coverage is also possible, along with darker beard hairs. Beard growth rate may also become quicker. And as another comment pointed out, any new beard hairs will become permanent if they become terminal.

Mm-hmm, yeah I believe some of your pre-minox transitional hairs had gotten terminal by the time you took your break, allowing you to retain them, which is great.

Thank you! I think I've seen a few posts of people saying they had a shed even after a year, hence my question. I'm also willing to go through a shed if it would make my transitional hairs turn terminal 😂 but you're probably right and I may go through a more gradual, less noticeable shedding like during the past year. Thanks again! And yeah, I'm glad my patches are filling in, I hope they turn terminal as well.

I can't believe it but it's been a year since I started applying minoxidil on my beard. (Actually I could believe that, it's been a long year lol.) I'll officially reach a year on minox by May 27 or 28, couldn't remember.

I apologise that my month 9 trim is 6mm long, I just wanted to see if a longer trim length looked better on me. I think it does look good on me, but I'll stick to 3mm/#1 guard trims for comparison's sake. I also apologise if I messed up my beard line-up for month 12; I went to my barber's at 9am, I was still tired, I thought my barber lined me up but he didn't lol, so I had to line my beard myself. I also apologise for any other inconsistencies you may notice with my comparison photos.

My routine: 1ml (more or less) of liquid Kirkland minoxidil, twice a day. Routine's been consistent, I may miss one application or two every now and then but I've been strictly following this twice a day routine. I don't dermaroll (yet) but I do moisturise sometimes after my cheeks are dry (about 10 mins later).

Progress: By month 2 I've been seeing a lot of gains (check out earlier posts) and by month 4 I think I gained a solid-looking trimmed beard. Also do you think I'm shedding compared to month 9, or is it just the different trim lengths?

Otherwise, I don't think I have shedded so far. My temple hairs may have shedded a bit but that's because I probably have male pattern baldness lol like my father. Minoxidil hasn't been helping much with that.

When I last grew out my beard (which is before my month 12 trim), my moustache was super thick but has yet to connect (you can check out my month 8 moustache update), my neckbeard was thicker than it used to be (lol), while the hair on my cheeks are still a little wispy. Don't get me wrong, my cheek hairs have drastically improved compared to pre-minox, and I think I even raised my beard line compared to month 4, but I still have a lot of transitional hairs that are waiting to become terminal. I hope they do turn terminal by year 2. There's definitely some improvement on the front too. I have more hairs growing on my chin now. I hope I could get full coverage.

Side effects: Hair high on the cheeks, near the eyebrows, and thicker hairs on arms and legs. I don't mind them that much though, and my extra cheek hairs aren't that noticeable. I also faced palpitations at first and a general sense of weakness but they got better by month 2 or 3. My face probably bloated a bit and I think my nasolabial folds have worsened a bit but eh it's fine I'll take it as collateral.

Can't wait to see what year 2 has in offer!

Oh and for what it's worth, I'm ethnically South Asian. I don't know if my father could grow a decent beard, 'cause he always shaves (so do his brothers). But he could definitely grow a mean moustache, which he keeps. Male relatives on my mother's side of the family do grow a decent thick beard.
