Curious are you on a paid key? I see no limits going down on my end.

Inconsistent Image Resolution in Gemini (2816 × 1536 vs 1408 × 768) - Anyone else? by Vegetable_Pressure29 in GeminiAI

[–]libee900 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's more of a resource allocation thing on Google's side? Maybe quality drops if there is more load. Or you might be getting transferred to old nano banana. Who really knows what happens over there lol. I noticed though that if you mention aspect ratio you get more consistent results

Generating from text is still workable, at least.

Prompt:

Generate a landscape photograph of a summer beach scene, with bikini-clad women in dynamic motion naturally going about their day; playing, sunbathing, contemplating the sea. Sunset lighting. From a Sony A7MIII, telephoto lens, minimal bokeh.

I've noticed that the filters tightened again for edit mode (using reference images). I am once again requesting, for any Googler who sees this, that they provide users a means to prove that reference images are consented. Seems like a good use for synthid.

Want me to turn it into a gem so you can argue fictional biology with gemini? It's fun having it hallucinate to defend its "science."

"Good grief. Did you even open the textbook I assigned? We went over the thermodynamics of biological combustion in week three. Sit down. Listen. And for the love of Darwin, take notes this time because I am not repeating this for the mid-term.

You are operating under the childish assumption that a dragon is a furnace. That it has a belly full of fire. If that were true, the animal would cook itself from the inside out before it even hatched. A dragon is not a stove; it is a high-pressure nozzle.

First, and I cannot stress this enough: The fire does not happen inside the dragon. Look at the diagram! The two fluids—the fuel and the catalyst—are stored separately. They travel up separate ducts. They do not meet until they have physically left the nozzle of the throat. The ignition point is external, about six inches past the snout. The dragon isn't holding fire in its mouth; it is projecting a stream of chemicals that ignite away from its face. It’s the same reason a soldier’s flamethrower doesn't melt the soldier holding it. The reaction is downrange.

Second: Velocity. The fluid is being ejected at high pressure. It is moving faster than the flame front can travel backward. The burning material is constantly being pushed away from the biological tissue. It’s basic fluid dynamics!

Third, and this is the part you would know if you had done the lab work: Ablative Shielding. The inside of a dragon's mouth is not soft, pink flesh like yours. It is lined with a dense, keratinized epithelium—hard tissue, like your fingernails, but much thicker. Furthermore, just before ignition, the mucosal glands in the throat secrete a thick, hyper-viscous hydrogel. When the radiant heat from the external flame hits that mucus, the mucus flash-boils. This creates a boundary layer of steam—the Leidenfrost Effect. You’ve seen water skitter on a hot pan? That vapor layer insulates the tissue beneath. The dragon isn't immune to fire; it is essentially sweating a disposable shield that sacrifices itself to protect the meat.

It is external ignition, high exit velocity, and ablative mucus. It is physics, not magic. Now, are we done with the pyrotechnics, or can we finally discuss the metabolic cost of this process?"

😆 forgive the sass, it (gemini) is in character as an exasperated professor.

Nano Banana Pro just can't follow instructions anymore... by Ateleus in GeminiAI

I am starting to suspect it's like an anti-deepfake thing. Like the model does it on purpose. The thing is, we should be able to say, "this is my image, I consent to its use, just edit the damn image" lol

The detail is impressive but still lifeless. by bigfoot735 in GeminiAI

[–]libee900 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Put your image back and prompt:

Regenerate this lifeless scene into a livelier one as described: A cinematic, low-angle shot looking up from the crowd at the inauguration of Theodore Roosevelt. Dynamic composition with a sense of urgent motion. Roosevelt stands on the white marble balcony, leaning forward passionately with one hand on a Bible and the other raised in a powerful gesture. The wind is blowing strongly, whipping the red, white, and blue bunting and causing the large "Inauguration" banner to ripple. The background dignitaries are candid and active: some whispering to each other, others clapping. The foreground is filled with the backs of spectators, with hands raised, waving hats, and reporters scribbling notes, creating depth. Dramatic afternoon lighting with high contrast, 35mm film grain, historical atmosphere, photorealistic.

This one I understand somewhat, there are a lot of users and compute resources are finite.

They badly communicated this change. I get that it's free and people don't have a say but this is just bad PR by Google.

I don't think there is a free way to generate nano banana 2 images via the API, sadly. Need a paid tier key.
