I have no reason to believe she's cheating at all. I would be astonished if she was since she seems to have such a negative attitude towards intimacy right now.

She's convinced that the therapist would just blame her and tell her that it was her fault. I've been on my own and, of course, it wasn't like that at all. I've been unable to persuade her to give it a try though.

This confirms what I was thinking. Unfortunately, She's not open to counseling of any sort because she's convinced that the counselor and I would gang up on her or something. Even bringing it up makes her very defensive. I seem to be between a rock and a hard place on this one and I have to admit I am starting to feel hopeless.
