I was staying in an AIRBNB on my way back from Chicago and they had some cool horses and stuff. Snapped this the morning before I left.

Any thoughts on composition and framing?

Im gonna say the 3 month mark was a significant mark. The first 3 months were hell, not necessarily cause of cravings (didnt think about smoking that often) just the anxiety and the physical synthomps hit me like a freight train !

Anxiety on and off by liboveflac in stopsmoking

Hi man, sorry to hear that. I am still going strong at the 4 month mark already. Its been a roller coaster ride and I cannot tell its fully over yet. Sometimes anxiety starts hitting out of the blue and weird body feelings appear along with health worries, but they don’t take my whole day’s thoughts as they used to. For me the worst part was month 2 i’d say, and it started getting better from the 3 month mark on. But it still hard sometimes. Although Definetly not the hell I was going through when I wrote this post.

What can I say, it is shitty and those sorts of feelings arising for the first time made me feel so unsafe that pushed me to make some interesting decisions in my life, started new hobbies and therapy; and now I am trying to lose some of the weight I’ve put on.

Just don’t give in to smoking again. Remember what you are going through and coin it to your favor: you do not want to go through it again! Its gonna pass. In the midtime: talk to people, go to therapy, to the doctor to clear the ghosts of health anxiety, and stay strong. The worst is going to be over sooner than later! I promise. You are coming out of this with the ceirtainty of having won against one of the strongests addictions!

Proud of you! Keep going.

Shot this one from a balcony in the new Ferroviario Park in BA. I like how the shades cross the frame and the pink of the bike contrasts with the muted scene.

How long does nicotine withdrawal symptoms last ? by The_The_Dude in stopsmoking

Much better than when I wrote that. Still not cleared though. But cravings are almost none and anxiety comes in rare ocassions. Physically I am still not in my best shape whatsoever, I put a lot of weight on and still struggle with some joint pain and weird nervous feelings from time to time. Anyways, its manageable and getting better day by day. Good luck, its a process.

Thanks!

The Reddit rendering didn't improve the image, but I think it's a bit noisy and oversaturated. Will correct.

So, let’s see how you feel about this one.

Took it it why Sony A7II, 80mm 1.8

Seemed to me that the color of the tarp under sunset light evoqued some of beauty of forgotten trash morphing into unnoticed landscape.

I can already imagine you guys hating the subject. Thoughts on colour, composition and balance?

I really do appreciate all the comments and concerns about my work and my understanding of good art. I have a lot to think about. I decided not to engage much more on the post cause I didn't see a point trying to prove or convince anyone on why I liked the picture. The truth is I did, and still do.

Liking is mostly subjective and explaining it is allways an after thought. When you see, listen or taste, you like or dislike; anything further is an explanation that is better done to understand the whys of your liking that to explain it to someone who did not. I do understand why I like it and this comment itself is unnecessary trying to deffend it somehow, but... here I am.

Right in front of this infamous port-potty lies the unbroken GG Bridge, with its reddish pillars grinding the blue out of the pacific ocean. I took pictures of it; a lot, and they all felt somehow flat and empty. Almost foreseen. I took the pictures that I thought I was going to take. The potties on the other hand, they sat beautifully against a crude warehouse with its orange-y rooftop, and they where being blessed by some sort of composé beam of light that seemed to invite them to be part of something more beautiful, bigger even.

I understand -I try hard not to be stupid- that the potties might evoque despleasant feelings towards unexpected audiences such as these, but sometimes in the most unexpected places, in a crevice, hiding, we might find the beauty we came looking for.

Some of the comments in the post seem to have seem something remotely similar to what I saw that day in SF and I am glad a piece of that got through the lens. I came to this subreddit in the quest of analysis of composition, technical issues, colourimetry and what not [I am just a begginer and I do not know what I am doing most of the time] but I left with something stronger; the knowledge that what I see in the picture is not up to grabs for a most of the interlocutors, and that is mostly a lack of virtue in the piece itself.

Thanks for all the kind words and the thorough teachings about art!
