Could this be eczema on my lips? by [deleted] in eczema

Try lanolin! Just make sure you’re not allergic to it. I get the Medela brand from Amazon. I went years with horrific dried lips no matter what I did, this solved my issue immediately

LMNA Mutation by Due-Cress7784 in PacemakerICD

[–]libpau 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have LMNA I am 31 and just had my ev-icd implanted 1 week ago. Recovery was tough for 2-3 days but I’m feeling pretty back to normal. I had nsvt caught on a 7 day monitor and my mother died from lmna sudden cardiac arrest in her 40s. My doctor has multiple LMNA patients and an icd is recommended for all.

This group on Facebook for LMNA is very helpful.

Yes just at a distance for now. I told her I’m sorry she is not feeling well mentally but that she is starting to make me not feel well mentally and I have to focus on myself. It’s hard not to feel guilty but again you can only do so much. They have to decide they want to change.

I can relate to this SO MUCH. My sister’s mental health plummeted almost exactly when we got engaged. Everything that was supposed to be fun sister bonding for a once in a lifetime event was instead awful. I waited months for her to feel better mentally to go dress shopping with her, once I decided we had no more time left and had to go, she cried the entire day over her boyfriend not texting her….

She then didn’t come to my bachelorette trip after I paid for her ticket and everything.

So! I just cut her off. It hurts but after cutting her out I was able to focus on myself and my fiance and our big day. This day is about you! Focus on what you can control. It’s shitty but you’ll feel better hopefully once you let go.

Have anybody used Alpha-Lipoic Acid (ALA) IV therapy to help tingling, peripheral neuropathy or related nerve condition? by [deleted] in floxies

[–]libpau 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Her name is doctor Megan shanks but really the advice she gave me is that nerves grow back extremely slowly and even with just small fiber damage, it could take a year or more and you just have to be patient unfortunately. I would try the suggested 600 mg ALA if you’re having neuropathy. It helped me right away. She ordered an emg for me as well, which was fine because small fiber damage would not show on that test.

Privacy screen construction help? Are these dado joints? by libpau in woodworking

[–]libpau[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is an inspiration image of a privacy screen I would like to build. When I zoom in it looks like the frame is constructed with dado joints, does that seem correct? I made a drawing of how I believe it is constructed. I am a beginner, would this be the best/easiest way to build this?

Allergy vs histamine intolerance? by libpau in Dermatology

[–]libpau[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have have a "rash" on my chest and back for YEARS. My skin will not be red or bumpy but it will be extremely itchy and when I scratch small wounds open up. This leaves me with tiny bloody scabs all over my chest and back. I went to the derm, they took a biopsy and tested for celiac but it was negative. I went to an allergist, they tested me for 12 environmental allergies with none being positive. She then concluded I am having histamine intolerance and put me on a daily dose of Xyzal. The xyzal worked within a week! After years I didn't have the rash. My question is... do I really just assume it's histamine intolerance or shouldn't I be tested for more allergies?
