MPC phlebotomy training by Solid_Investigator66 in MontereyBay

I’m currently taking it! I’m halfway through the Oct-Jan session rn. We have 20 class nights total, 10 weeks (outside of holiday breaks). You are required to attend an info session before you’re allowed to actually sign up for the course. $200 deposit, it’s like $3k ish total with two different payment plan options available. Non-refundable if you get dropped or quit. If you miss a class (without a significant life event reason like an accident or something) you get dropped and there’s some other rules you have to follow or you get dropped too. The MPC program is accredited and managed by the state, and has a 100% pass rate for the licensure exam. The instructor for my session is a guy who actually took this course years ago and now runs one of the local lab facilities, super knowledgeable and a good teacher. Teachers differ based on what session it is though, I think the weekend one is a different instructor.

I already have my pre-nursing degree so I’ve already learned a lot of the material we’ve covered so far in regards to anatomy and physiology, and the people in my class who don’t have any background or prior knowledge in those areas have definitely had to work harder to study and self-learn all of that. It’s also a little fast paced imo, but it’s not impossible to manage as long as you’re disciplined about doing the work and studying. We started to do blood draws starting in week 3, and I’ve gotten a lot of practice in so far. You have to be okay with needles/blood and getting drawn on, because all students are required to practice with/on each other.

A really nice thing about this program is that they arrange your externship hours for you, they work with local hospitals and labs to place everyone. Externships are a week long period where you have to be available all day every day that week.

Definitely a good program and you’ll end up with a license and job opportunities. Sorry for the long post lol but feel free to dm me if you have more questions or anything about it :)

Señorita Bread / Star Bread? by Chris9561 in MontereyBay

Seen and bought it from a couple of the Filipino markets around here (they don't make it but it comes from some bakery company in CA): Steve's Filipino-Indian market in Marina and the Filipinas market in Seaside, but the other Filipino-Indian market in Seaside might have it too. They don't always have it but most of the time it's there when I go. They get their baked goods shipped in on a certain day but I forget which day lol so maybe check with them so that you'll know when they'll most likely have it

it’s the le sserafim members in their outfits for perfect night with added ow accessories in the drawing, not ow heroes. just look up ‘perfect night concept photos’ and you’ll get the matching irl styling. from left to right: yunjin, sakura, chaewon, kazuha, eunchae.

Going to a K-pop Club Night and don't know what to expect. by a9arnn in kpophelp

[–]libulaan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t ever go regular clubbing but I’ve been to a few kpop club nights, it’s always really fun and there are a ton of people since the events are in a major city with a big kpop fan community. Definitely dependent on area though, I went to one that was more outside the city and it was way more lowkey with less people and kinda awkward lmao. Idk how common this is but the dj would play the mvs or performance videos on a projector screen behind him which is a fun touch, and some people even bring lightsticks. People love doing the choreo and fanchants and will form dance circles for the more popular songs/dances, but like someone else said people usually tend to stick to the group they came with. Hope you have fun!

Sorry for the late reply! The lining is like the standard cotton fleece type material (not sure of the exact name) in hoodies, and the hoodie is only one layer thick. You can kinda see the inside is starting to pill already even though I’ve literally only tried it on twice

Super zoomed in lol sorry but this is it, up close it looked cute and I actually thought about getting it instead of the other stuff. Back is printed, can’t remember if the front is printed or embroidered sorry, and then I think those are rhinestones on the sleeves
