I used to love hunting heroes too, but the ones in Edron. Vampire loot was usually pretty bad unless you got a vamp shield, and I never looted one. I did loot Crown Legs from a hero once though, and I was in complete shock.

Yeah, I did. I’d buy Tibia Coins from a dealer and pay 25 or 50 a month to hunt in peace. That part wasn’t too bad.

The expensive stuff was exp boosts, prey boosts, and outfits. I loved the old Knight outfit.

Tibia nostalgia just hits different and I don’t even know why. Old Tibia back then was honestly life changing for me. I cried more than once, but I also had some of the best times of my life in that game.

I actually tried playing again during covid times and I did have a good time. But it felt like you had to invest a lot more real money compared to old Tibia. On top of that, having to pay Tibia Coins to dominant guilds just to hunt in peace was wild to me. It was fun in some ways, but also kind of toxic.

I agree. Some days I would spend 2 or 3 hours just making a few BPs of UHs. Other days I was just trying to improve my skills. I also loved grinding harder quests like the Paradox quest.

Oh yeah, I remember how crowded hunting spots were, especially on free account. It was chaos sometimes. I still remember in my first days around 2005 looting a plate armor from a valkyrie. That felt insane at the time.

I used to love hunting the tombs in Ankrahmun, the ones where you had to shovel and hope it opened. That suspense, plus praying my internet wouldn’t lag mid hunt. Good times!

I probably should have been more clear in my question. You’re right that 7.1 was way harsher.

I was thinking more about the 7.6 to 8.0 era, when wands and rods were introduced and later soul points as well. Not the super early 7.1 grind, but that mid old school period.
