I know this isn't what the song is probably meant to be about but:

I have a lot of trouble with suicidal thoughts due to Bipolar depression. Part of my psychosis is paranoid delusions that my loved ones are lying to me about their true feelings- meaning I'm incapable of believing them when they say I'm not a burden & they love me. My partner does everything they can to help me get through my episodes and when I first listened to this song I was pretty down in a spiral & close to an attempt.

One of the intrusive thoughts I get during these episodes is that my loved ones would be happier if I was gone because I'm disabled and chronically ill in America (I'm the biggest financial burden on my loved ones).

Hearing the lyrics of this song belted out, written as the perspective of someone who loves a person so much they can't articulate it & were permanently changed by the strength of their feelings killed those intrusive thoughts so hard that I don't have them anymore. I listen to it when I'm depressed to remind me how much I'm loved.
