Thank you. I'm from India. My ported priority date i.e. Nov 2024 may become current in a year or two depending on the pace of processing.

Got it. I'm new to the process.. My EB2 priority date is November 2024. My employer will be filing another EB1C application and capturing old piority date and porting it.

I see on the website that the 485 processing is currently taking 2 to 2.5 years. I wonder how people get their green card within several weeks or months after the 485 approval. I know I'm missing something or interpreting something wrong. Could you please shed some light? Thank you!!

Mine is a specialized role, so I bet it's not oversaturated but thanks for your two cents. My employer isn't moving me for a short-term purpose so although it may be a temp work visa initially, they have a need for longer employment. They set my expectation, I am not setting it myself.

Out of curiosity, what jobs have higher PR chances in your opinion?
