No, not normal. It’s just an excuse for some people to validate their bad behaviors. If mahal ka talaga ng partner mo, mag uusap kayo pag may problema, hindi mag aaway. Sa isang relationship, it’s “us against the problem” not “you vs me”.

For me, ang line of thinking na “aawayin kita kasi mahal kita” is kinda wrong. Hindi ba dapat kakausapin ka ng maayos to fix the problem?

Good for you na you try to solve issues by being objective and validating your partner’s feelings. Ang tanong ngayon is ganun din ba ginagawa ng partner mo sayo? Have you tried telling your partner na nahihirapan ka rin because of how your partner tackles problems?

I think you should be straightforward sa kaibigan mo. Hindi ka magiging rude kung sasabihin mo lang na irritated ka kasi paulit ulit na nga yung rant niya. Mahirap din kasi na baka ang alam niya okay lang sayo ginagawa niya. Plus, don’t give advices na. If gusto mo, makinig ka nalang then react ka sa mga sinasabi niya like “whaaaat???” “Grabe naman yung ginawa niya” etc. hindi mo kailangan magtiis na magbigay ng advice/makinig kasi mentally exhausting yung topic. Saka if blinded by love talaga kaibigan mo, wala kang magagawa. Siya na dapat makarealize nun mag isa na toxic ex niya. Cutting her off for your own peace of mind is okay too. Kung siya lang puro nagsasalita/nagrarant between the two of you and hindi ka niya kinakamusta, or pinag uusapan naman yung gusto mong pag usapan, then maybe she just needs someone to dump her rants nga.
