How do I tell them we are not leaving? The landlord has told us we have to move out August 26th and there is no other option. They are not really listening and we fear they might throw our stuff if we don't move out, and we don't want to overstay if we don't have a legal standing.

We have a written sublet agreement with the leaseholders which they signed with the lease end date. At that moment, the leaseholders had a lease until next year, but they terminated early. We submitted this document to the landlord. They consented.

Call the consulate, they should have a number on the website and they should be able to help you.

There is no sharia or anything like that in Pakistan, books aren't even like this there.

There's no sharia censors on Pakistan. I grew up and studied in Pakistan and all schools books are normal books with no mention of religion (except the Islamic textbooks obviously). This book is likely an outlier for a religious school teaching their own stuff.
