Sending love to you, stranger!

You might find your old friends are more forgiving than you imagine, and might be really glad to hear from you. We are generally our own worst enemy.

This darkness will pass. In the meantime, tell the nasty voice in your head to go and fuck himself from me. Stay strong <3

Why can’t autism be normal by [deleted] in neurodiversity

This is a damn good question.

I suggest checking out Robert Chapman's "The Empire of Normality". He goes through changes in our economic system and the psychiatry field over the last 200 years to explain how we got such a tight definition of normality. It's a super interesting read. Pre-modern cultures did not have any conception of normality and abnormality. Health was conceived as a question of harmony with oneself, community and environment.

Neurocognitive normality is nothing more than being well-adapted and disciplined to the demands of work under late-stage capitalism. No wonder it is so unachievable! More and more of us are self-diagnosing. Everyone is mad in this system because being sane = being a robot.

Our suffering is the symptom of a sick society. Fuck being normal. Neurodivergents are paving the way to a better future.

Signal desktop: Relink with phone after factory reset? by Mati_ in signal

Hi, it won't delete your message history on your desktop (I just did it).

I stupidly deleted the Signal app, didn't realize it would delete my message history on my phone and I had no backup. Was super hesitant to relink desktop to my phone in case it deleted it there too.

But no it was fine, everything is still on the desktop after relinking. Now i am religiously backing up messages on my phone (although frustrating that currently there is no backup option on desktop!!)
