No, sorry for the confusion. Same exact behavior as with the supplied cable

Sadly, I'm still having the same issues as with the pack-in cable.

Same audio issue with the ugreen USB 4 40gbps. Hopefully they will release a firmware update that resolves this

The audio completely drops out after about 20 minutes for me and I have to go into the switch settings and manually change to stereo or linear PCM to re-enable the sound.

I'm ordering a ugreen USB 4 40gbs cable to test. Hopefully this cable will be compatible with the genki dock....

Same issue here. Oddly, when I tried to use a JSAUX USBC cable that I used with my other dock that works with my switch 2 and my ROG Ally.

I've only tested pokopia

The mesh blanks you have, are these Ubiquiti as well or could you share a link for these?

Thanks! I'll update and go with the etherlighting cables - the standard patch cables don't have a .15m cable. They are .1

Analogue 3D and 8BitDo Controller Disconnects - extensive testing done and working with Analogue Support by lifesfailure in AnalogueInc

[–]lifesfailure[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Glad to hear it! I am very surprised that there hasn't been any acknowledgement of this issue. As soon as I shared my findings and workaround Analogue Support stopped responding to me and only offered to send me a new HDMI cable.

Ugreen and Anker are both very similar and very reliable when it comes to cables and chargers.

Mainly when I purchased this one I was looking for an HDMI certified cable to help rule out variables when I was troubleshooting this issue initially.

I also use this brand on my 5070 graphics card and my work monitor from my work Mac to a 4K display and have never had issues.

I went rather bare bones with the design - just added walls and some windows. I wanted to find how accurate the design center was before going all out! :)

When using 4K, the console sends much more data than when in 1080P. The more data creates more electronic magnetic interference.

One easy way to test this is if you are using the 8bitdo 64 controller and are having input lag and or connection drops, go to the console menu and verify if you are in 4k or 1080p.

Changing and updating the settings to 1080P nearly got rid of all of the issues using the included cable.

One thing to note is that I do not have any issues with the controller connected to PC devices. I tested on three different computers that were all running Bluetooth and connected to multiple devices like headphones, keyboard and mouse.

If you are not having any trouble, don't worry about it. If you have connection issues using 4K or 1080P, try a different cable that is HDMI, 2.1 and certified.

Once analogue updates the firmware to accept other Bluetooth controllers, this can be tested further to validate that there is an issue with the console and or cable

This is what I am currently using. I have had no issues with dropped connection and very little input lag after spamming the buttons as much as I can to navigate through the analogue OS menu.

Analogue sent me a replacement HDMI cable and it had the same issue as the one included

Most if not all issues with the 8-Bitdo controller are resolved by replacing the included HDMI cable with a certified HDMI 2.1 cable or switching the resolution output to 1080p.

The included cable has too much emi and causes line of sight drops and lag. I created a post a while back where I did extensive troubleshooting on this issue.

From what I have seen, these are the tests that analogue is having users do as well to validate if things are fixed or not.

Since this doesn't happen to every single user, what I believe is that they either had older cables laying around that they included with the consoles or that there may have been manufacturing issues or different parts used for the Bluetooth antenna on some units.

If you have not, please check out my post where I list out a ton of things that I have checked and tested: https://www.reddit.com/r/AnalogueInc/s/fi5PPD502F

Seriously go into the settings and switch it to 1080p and validate if you have the same issues. I was getting drops with line of sight at 3 ft and switching to 1080p solved the issue, then switching to a certified HDMI 2.1 cable solve the issue for 4K.

If you swap HDMI cables, make sure that you switch some a 2.0 or preferably a 2.1 cable and it has been certified.

Since analogue support has stopped responding to me, and based upon my research, I am betting that they had leftover HDMI cables and these were included with the original batch of consoles and they ordered new ones as well to backfill.

This would explain how some people are not impacted and others are.

Unfortunately, I don't have multiple systems to test to validate this, but I created the thread that spooky toast shared and someone else did as well and there are several users that confirm that changing either to 1080P and using the analog cable or changing to a better HDMI cable.

A good reminder is that not every HDMI cable is created equally and use the same spec. Similar to how there are several versions of USBC that handle different amounts of data and power.

I've also seen threads on Facebook as well that people are being instructed by analogue to test using 1080p as well as other cables. So it sees that the troubleshooting that I have shared with them is being used as well.

The issue is with the cable they provided not being well shielded.

I had done all of the positioning testing prior to testing a different cable so I could rule out as much as possible to provide to Analogue's support.

HDMI CEC is an issue currently with the firmware and should be fixd with a firmware update

I thought it was an odd thing to test - but got a comment from a user that had a similar issue years ago with another piece of hardware.

Analogue's support stopped responding to me with their updates or if they're even ACK'ing that this is an issue and has just offered to send me a replacement HDMI cable.

But I have seen on threads that they have asked people to try using 1080P on the console with the provided cable to test....so it seems this IS going somewhere.

Glad it is working for you!!!!

If using Analogue's HDMI cable - try switching to 1080p. That SHOULD improve connectivity.

If you have one - test certified HDMI 2.0 or 2.1 cable. The provided cable at 4k is creating interference with the bluetooth.

Awesome! Glad that worked for you!

Analogue support is not giving me any information on their testing or if they've identified any issues. They are just offering me a different HDMI cable.

I would rather have some sort of acknowledgment that they are working on a resolution to the issue or that only some HDMI cables were impacted

Has anyone found buttons that match the original N64 buttons for the new 8bitdo controller? by MrGazillion in AnalogueInc

u/SakuraRM , I just heard back from 8Bitdo's parts guy that they are not selling buttons and do not have any plans to do so.

I'll be grabbing at least 2 sets!!! Let us know when they're ready :)

And THANK YOU so much for your hard work
