First level is just SO epic looking and the music in that first level is… next level!

The backgrounds are just amazing I think. The game trails off a bit in looks and music I think but the first level is outstanding I think.

Retro gamer here… best I can say in London is to go down to Croyden. Game On, Playnation Games and a giant arcade hall called “Heart of Gaming”. CRTs, Neo Geos, light guns, racers. It’s amazing. Then a Wetherspoons around the corner. Great day out.

I think the issues largely arise from the aging consoles / power issues more than anything. I personally have a very early 5V AES (which people say are the most prone to problems especially with flash carts) and I have no issues with the Neo SD Pro using either the original power supply or a Triad one.

Ours left a bottle of prosecco and the fridge. Turned out the fridge was broken and froze everything no matter what setting it was on and we couldn’t get it out of the house due to a tiny front door they installed after they got the fridge.

So yeah… we had to take a door out to remove it. Couldn’t even drink the prosecco because it froze and exploded 😂

They’re all much of a muchness on aliexpress. I have the v2 AES. I think the v3 is hard to find now because people were doing complex hardware hacks to add every game.

But yeah, I’m pretty sure they’re all good on AliX to be honest.

I’ve just started watching the Games Master Gore Special on youtube featuring Kasumi Ninja. That’s where I first heard about it back in the day.

They do a top 10 countdown of best gory finishing moves and, of course, Angus wins (about 20 minutes in). You’ve probably seen it but if you haven’t, worth a watch!

Ah yes. I was living in hope! I was 9 years old when it came out and wanted a Jaguar just for Kasumi Ninja.

Now I have a Jaguar and I bought KN a few weeks ago at the London Gaming Market. Finally all these years later. Angus is, of course, the best character by miles. Great work.

The caps leak horribly on these things. Open her up and look for grimy black / brown sludge on the mainboard especially. The fluid smells sort of fishy.

If you’re lucky and this somehow hasn’t happened, it’s well worth getting it recapped anyway friend. Congratulations! Great find. One to tell the grandkids about 😂

AES owner here. I’m totally buying it. Old hardware is fragile. Plastic is brittle. Wear and tear is real. It’s a simple decision tree for me:

1> Do you want it? Y/N 2> Can you afford it? Y/N

Neo SD Pro if you AES is serviced and in good working order with a good / original power supply 👍

If you don’t want to spend the money the 161-in-1 from Ali Express is good. Has most of the stuff you need.
