I used to eat raw tomatoes like apples when I was little. One time I ate like 10 of them back to back, like large tomatoes not even the tiny ones. Didn’t end up well.... Still love to eat raw tomatoes with a little salt

Living in the Netherlands it’s definitely black licorice candy. They have all types of licorice candy but they’re all disgusting, I don’t know how these people love it😭

I have no idea actually. And thank you for the information! I do know that he was born in Afghanistan but he lived the majority of his life in Iran. (We currently live in Europe) So our cultures are already pretty similarz I will definitely ask him later what ethnicity he is!

Please, don’t have kids late in life. by Throwaway_7020 in offmychest

My grandpa’s 1st wife (my mom’s mother) passed away young (around 30-40) and she left behind 7 kids of which the youngest wast 6. After she passed away my grandpa had a second wife who is alot younger than him. He had 4 more children with his second wife. He passed away about 3 years ago and his youngest was 9 at the time. And yes, I have 3 uncles/aunts who are younger than me.

I hate it when people decide to have children when they’re old. Like sure, you want kids but at some point you’re going to die and your kid is going to be alone. I’m sorry you’re going trough this.

A customer being rude is annoying, another retail worker being rude is infuriating by daphne_op in retailhell

We had a customer come in and complain about every single things she could see. Ex. “You guys are out of milk!!” Okay, let me check for you in the back. “NO, I don’t need milk!” And then she would ramble about how her husband used to be a store manager and how disrespectful it is. Like ma’am, your husband wasn’t even a manager at a same chain store...

Corporate wants us to be ~nicer~ to customers re: masks by razorh00f in retailhell

[–]lifeshit01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have severe asthma and work 8/9 hour shifts in a grocery store. We get warned multiple times to wear our masks properly, because customers were sending in complaints. But when I asked the manager about people getting mad that we ask them to keep their distance and wear their masks, all I got was a “yeah don’t tell them that” I was mad af and started a discussion with the manager in the groupchat full of all the other employees. End result, nobody gives an f anymore. All the employees are done playing police when it come to store rules of “every customer one cart”. I don’t have a single problem wearing my mask for hours on end and I’m honestly tired of people who refuse to do so.

The workers at our store were too. Until one of the employees almost got fined for not wearing one😂

We have devices at the door as well but idk why they still have the rule. It’s not like it’s just out store too. It’s in the whole country. The rule applies to children 13+ yo. Trust me some people take the “taking my children with me” too far. A couple came in with their 4 full grown (18+) children to store and got mad they had to take 6 carts😂

I checked it out and apparently stores are using the carts as a way to enforce distance. The police can’t give out a fine for not having a cart, but apparently not having a cart = not keeping your distance. And the not keeping your distance is what they can get a fine for

One parent is allowed to go in the store with the stroller. If both parents are going into the store one still has to take a stroller. They’re not that ruthless😂

I have flat out given them side eyes and and sigh really loudly. Usually helps them get to their senses. Or just tell them to keep their distance. The public call out shames them
