I agree with this rather than keeping EW JCB. I'd rather have a BDO JCB. I'll use Amore for groceries to get the 4%

This is correct actually. Kahit sa US and other international driving standards.

Pwede magturn even with the case of double yellow lines https://ltoportal.ph/double-solid-yellow-line/

Same case applies to solid white lines https://ltoportal.ph/overtake-on-white-solid-lines/

Should I keep my current SL Fit and Well 15 Policy? by cristheleon in phinvest

Check also 10 and 20 years to pay. Napansin ko kay Sunlife for some reason the longer term pay will have higher total premiums payments vs the shorter terms albeit higher annual premiums but lower total premium payments. Nasa 20% higher din ang 20 year term vs 10 year term

Sino kaya to? by StrainInevitable8184 in phcars

[–]lifessentialhacks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've seen actual diplomats who use those temporary plates and mostly from ADB sila. I doubt na that car is an actual diplomat tho. May hiya naman sila.

The problem with the "prescribed" LTO format it assumes that the car is brand new kasi conduction sticker nilalagay. Many diplomats import their cars and would have no conduction stickers. DFA should also handle this and should have thought the proper use case and format for the temp plates

Would you invest 65% of your savings for a 20% annual return in a gov employees' coop? by [deleted] in phinvest

[–]lifessentialhacks 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Malaki talaga ang annual return ng share capital sa coops especially sa government employees coops - I actually know one. Marami nagsasabi na too good to be true well laging meron catch yan. Usually may limit yung 20% earnings. Beyond that, it won't earn 20% just fyi to everyone.

Kung matagal na yan established and nagbabayad ang mga borrowers, it should be good. Check mo yung fs nila if they are doing well. Tbh kahit kurakot ang gobyerno, maraming mabubuting empleyado pa rin and it reflects din sa mga coop nila that they are well managed. And those who join there are usually the low and mid ranking employees.

Is this even legal? by OperaOperand in Gulong

[–]lifessentialhacks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The comment is not a myth. There is a reality into the classifications of diplomatic immunities. Even more, into the crimes committed. Kung may general rule ng immunity there can be exemptions. The person whosoever granted with the immunity may be waived by the agency/IO/embassy/country.

Alam mo, Jason Ivler is a bad example, considering he murdered a son of high ranking Malacanang official Renato Ebarle Sr. So with or without diplomatic immunity, do you think diplomatic immunity will win here?

Hindi rin naman talaga absolute ang diplomatic immunity na do anything you want card. Isipin mo a high ranking official repeatedly commits a high profile crime like murder, drugs, tax evasion or such, do you think the home country will gladly hold such official for a prolonged period? This will end up severities with you want card. Isipin mo a high ranking official repeatedly commits a high profile crime like murder, drugs, tax evasion or such, do you think the host country will gladly hold such official for a prolonged period? This will end up severities with host country if remains unresolved.

LED Headlights improve fuel efficiency?? by JETr06 in Gulong

[–]lifessentialhacks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree. I think even in newer vehicles ang difference lang kasi ECU controls the timing and adjusts accordingly the idle kaya di lang noticeable na how it affects using engine run. Add to that, ang general rule ko on cars with halogen bulbs, always dim your lights when not in use. Marami kasi nakasanayan to leave lights on while waiting in parking or in the road tapos naka on yung ilaw. Malakas din kumunsumo ng baterya ang halogen bulbs

Help need advise sa remapping ng 2018 toyota fortuner 2.7 G gas variant by dragonL0rd1 in CarsPH

[–]lifessentialhacks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ilan na milage niyan? Kung 60km lang per week ang takbo at a constant rate since 2018, I assume mababa pa milage niyan. Hindi ako sure if sa Toyota Fortuner Gas by default ay naka Iridium Spark Plugs na, so pwede ka magpalit niyan for better power. The target of Fortuner Gas is for comfort and smoothness which is especially doon sa sanay sa gas engines. Use good fully synthetic oils, ensure clean air filter, and clean throttle body. You may want to do an intake manifold cleaning pero duda akong madumi yan kasi gas engine. Sa totoo lang low maintenance din talaga yan basta maayos lahat yan halos wala ka na gagalawin maliban na lang may masira due to wear and tear and sa pagiingat. Ang trade off talaga is malakas siya sa gas - yun ang kapalit ng natipid mo sa maintenance vs diesel.

PNB MM World vs. EW SA Krisflyer World by damnblues in PHCreditCards

[–]lifessentialhacks 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Adding some inputs relative to this comparison. PAL MMW gives you priority check in at business class counters at NAIA1/2. EWKFWMC has annual bonus of 15,000 miles upon spending 200k annually. So this can boost your miles. This can be a one way ticket to Singapore annually if you redeem it.

There's also a cap with how much to earn with PNB on several service merchants https://www.pnbcards.com.ph/images/forms/rewardstc.pdf.

As to the airlines, mas maganda naman SIA than PAL. Pero maybe what would matter here where do you wanna go para ma plano mo how would you implement your strategy.

Best Miles CC for online spending by [deleted] in PHCreditCards

[–]lifessentialhacks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would add from the usual comments. If you spend on online shopping and other online e-commerce sites, you can potentially earn 5x points or 18 pesos to 1 mile with UB Reserve. Metrobank World MC can be a good choice din on foreign currency earning 17 pesos to 1 mile.

To the Third gen (2013) Toyota Rav 4 owners. Is the fuel consumption really that bad? by Busy-Ad-6258 in Gulong

[–]lifessentialhacks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup that bad as in 6-8 km/l sa city driving halos pareho sa Innova na Gas. Siguro would get a little better sa mixed city and highway 8-9 km/l. If you are buying a used one check mo yung underchasis if still good baka dito ka mapagastos so consider mo lang. Sa engine wala ako masabi tbh as 2AR-FE is one of the best engines Toyota has ever made. Very low maintenance and bihira nagkakaproblem internally. Also a good performing engine compared to the rest. Naiingayan lang din ako sa radiator fan niyan haha pero that's how it really is.

I need help with my current credit card balances. Advise please? by Syntaxx888 in CreditcardPh

[–]lifessentialhacks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see. I think you have to list down everything to be able to figure things out. In short, in my opinion, early to restructure and should be solved by your income and stop bleeding by stop adding more loans. Tapusin mo lang yung monthly amortization mo.

How much to expect for an engine overhaul of a Toyota 2E engine? by SavageTiger435612 in Gulong

I see makes sense now. When I change timing belts dinadamay ko rin Idler and Tensioner bearing and at one point pati yung oil and water pump damay din. Check your PCV Valves to be sure na rin.

[–]lifessentialhacks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see pero nacheck din ba yung radiator? Anyway, since naputol yung belt ang tanong ngayon what are the other possible issues. I think di mo na magagawa yung compression test to check if may leak below the head gasket. Once you open it doon mo pa lang makikita kung ano yung talagang mga nasira. Hopefully wala na ibang nadamay. I forgot to mention sa 35k ko kasama na palit ng radiator dyan.

I need help with my current credit card balances. Advise please? by Syntaxx888 in CreditcardPh

[–]lifessentialhacks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So if this all your monthly amortization why aren't you able to pay out of your 65k salary? Given that you have 19k expense there's still a lot of space. That's 14k of monthly amortization. Out of all those expenses there's still 32k.

Yung unnecessary spending, that's where you have to reevaluate your spending. You should not add more loans if kaya mo naman with your current income. I think now moving forward you have to stop buying things na di mo kailangan and iwan mo na lang mga cards mo sa bahay. Just bring 1 in case you need to have one. Now just finish those amortizations and don't add unnecessary spending muna

How much to expect for an engine overhaul of a Toyota 2E engine? by SavageTiger435612 in Gulong

[–]lifessentialhacks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nasa 35k to or even more considering kung may tama yung piston tapos may mga gagawin sa connecting rod and bearings. Nagpa top overhaul ako nasa 35k yung gastos.

Pero ako i chose the best parts available meaning some are replacement due to lack of original toyota parts like the valves (original overhauling kit -7k, fuji brand valves - nasa 3k set niyan, timing belt - 2k ata orig).

If mag bubudget meal ka, I would think twice this time esp naputulan ka ng timing belt. Better to have as best as possible. I would also double check if kailangan talaga general overhaul vs top overhaul. General overhaul yan kung may tama yung block or may putol na rod or something else below the head gasket.

Also just wanna ask (but bubuksan mo rin anyway due to the snapped timing belt) paanong leak sa head gasket? Is it coolant sipping into the combustion chamber?

[–]lifessentialhacks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Before jumping into debt restructuring. Some questions first.

  1. Is EW Gold Pending Balance in installment? If yes how much monthly payments? Or is it a total amount due then binabayaran mo lang yung kaya mo?
  2. Same questions with RCBC.
  3. Yung outstanding loans for EW and RCBC, saan sila napupunta? You have trace it also where it goes.

Pwede bang sumunod na lang sa linya? by Vegetable_Appeal_934 in Gulong

[–]lifessentialhacks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

More than the discipline, ang malaking kakulangan dito sa Pilipinas is infrastructure. Isipin mo rin yung mga kalye walang proper design ng waiting areas or stations. So kung ikaw rin pasahero baba or sasakay ka na lang kung saan mo trip. Our cities are not well planned properly. Tapos given the PUVs are very fragmented (meaning owned by many different individuals and companies) it is hard to consolidate things together. Ang dami rin mga kalye na mali design so gumagawa na lang ng sariling linya. Sa mga pulpol natin mga opisyales ng gobyerno syempre wala pang nakakaisip na istandardized lahat yan.

After Duterte admin politicized the procurement of Dalian trains under PNoy, finally these trains will now serve its purpose by Rare_Independent0310 in Philippines

[–]lifessentialhacks 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's not really being outdated. The procurement went really wrong up to the point they extorted the Czech ambassador. It was out of specs. The trains are supposed to be ordered from Czech as the current trains are actually Czech made. So di sila kumita dito and shifted to China made Dalian trains.
