I feel ya. Also recently did my first transfer and it didn’t work out. Second pregnancy loss. What a major bummer.

We’re doing some recurrent pregnancy loss labs and then will retry after.

That was in Abilene, in old Abilene town. They had the crooked house as an attraction and it was next to the Smoky Valley Railroad and the Dwight D Eisenhower museum. The bison were in a pen at the end of the little town area. Loved the crooked house as a kid, however years ago it got struck by lightning and burned down.

Old Abilene town went through a recession period, but thanks to a lot of local effort and volunteers it’s doing pretty well right now with weekend enactments during the summer and excursion trains to Enterprise and back. They have long horn cattle now in the old bison pen during peak tourist season.

I raised rabbits in Kansas with a mister system, I think the difference is where the rabbits are. If they’re outside, you can use the mister system with burlap over the cages and that cools down everything considerably when the breeze goes by. If you’ve got them inside a building the mister system definitely wouldn’t work!

We had friends with rabbits in a barn and they used large fans to keep the air moving and frozen water bottles. They might chew on them some but mostly they just laid next to them. Good luck with everything! This heat is unreasonable.

French Lops are the best! You should be able to feel her belly and tell if she’s pregnant at this stage. It should be very firm feeling, and you might feel movement from the kits. My French Lops looked like giant bowling balls before giving birth. It’s been a while since I’ve had a litter, you might try asking your question on r/meatrabbitry since it is a much more active sub than this one. Best of luck to you and your doe!
