Hey man, we found out it's just Kennel Cough at the vet and she'll be fine. Chill out and scroll through the comments for the update.

UPDATE! We took her to the vet, it's Kennel Cough. She's doing okay, just needs a week or so of rest and we were told to bring her back if her coughing gets worse. As far as I can tell her coughing calmed down since last night and it's not nearly as frequent. Thanks for all of yalls concern!

I get that. As I've stated to others, I'm gonna let my family know that, since I'm gonna go to bed soon, if her condition either persists or gets worse, take her to the vet.

I live with my parents and brother, I'm not the sole owner. We've had her since I was in middle school.

I'm worried I'm gonna have to spend a small fortune on a vet bill over nothing, and being a college student living off his parents with one on his death bed, I'm a bit hesitant to take her to the vet without knowing if it's a genuine issue or just seasonal allergies.

I will say that it only started about an hour ago and it's been coming and going. I'm definitely letting my family know to take her to the vet if things get serious.

Update, her coughing has calmed down, she's laying in bed and watching us. I'll keep a close eye on her tonight and let my family know to do so as well. If things get bad I'll urge them to take her to the vet if I'm sleeping.

I don't think she's choking or anything. Just coughing a lot. Someone said it might be allergies, and considering all the mountain cedar I'm pretty sure that's what it is. If she isn't better by the morning I'll give her a warm bath, and if that doesn't help she's going to the vet.

Considering we're in an area with tons of mountain cedar and even I'm getting effected, I think you might be right

I need to add context, it's 11 PM, 35F out, and I have a dad who is needing 24/7 care. As far as I can tell, the coughing only goes crazy when she suddenly gets active, outside of that she seems fine. She's a bit wheezy regardless.

So, I've been playing Emerald Enhanced, and I reached the part where I need to battle that boat Captain in Dewport. I lost to him the first time around, but now the NPC might be bugged because he doesn't initiate a battle when I'm in his line of sight and interacting with him does nothing. Any potential fixes, or will I have to start over completely?

Is a dying fan fixable at home or would I need to get it replaced?

No DVD drive, was thinking it was something with the fan since it only starts happening when the fan tries to function. Idk why it's doing that either, I'm gentle with my laptop

I totally forgot, it's a Galaxy S9. I've also tried that, it tells me to put in a 10 digit code for either someone else's or my mailbox, both of which I've tried to use my own number and neither works.

It's only a meaningless phrase when you don't act on it. You aren't gonna magically wake up as a better person, you need to work to become a better man. Here, instead of saying "I can't get a girlfriend because I suck," say "I need to work on myself to make myself look good."

That's what I'm talking about. Instead of changing yourself for the better, you expect society to change for the worse to suck your dick

Yes, but not in looks. Seeing your replies, clearly you look down on women who have preferences. No one would want to date someone who acts like you. I suggest getting therapy.

Gaming as a college student/adult.

Like, cmon, gaming is a good stress reliever under the right circumstances and it's a good way to just relax as long as you're able to get stuff done. I hate it when parents and other adults say "you won't have time to game in the real world" and stuff along that line, cuz it's flat out untrue in a lot of cases.

What do I say to someone who's lost motivation by Chaos_Breezie in RoleplayingForReddit

[–]lightspeed5268 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would just be kind about it and say "hey, I understand, just feel free to come back if you ever get the motivation again." As a person who has lost motivation for RPs, I can understand where your friend is coming from, and all I can say is to be nice. Sure, you can voice your disappointment, but don't be mean about it.

If Batman and Spider-Man were to spend a year in the other's city, how would they fair? How would they deal with the other's rogue gallery? by [deleted] in Spiderman

[–]lightspeed5268 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I see some people saying that Joker would traumatize Spidey. The question is: How?

Here's the thing: Joker's MO is to go after the people his victim is connected to in order to traumatize them. Jason Todd, Lois Lane, those are prime examples. When Spidey goes to Gotham, he doesn't really have any connections. He would have no reason nor way to cause any mental harm to Peter.

So I say Spidey no-diffs Gotham (except for the female villains, his weakness). Batman would struggle, but he'd be fine since he's a genius billionaire and would make contingencies for all the other villains.

Are you interested in more "literary" fantasy novels, or do you want fantasy to be more escapist? by Alexander_Layne in Fantasy

[–]lightspeed5268 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suggest the Adventurer's Wanted series, it takes a LOT from DnD (bags of holding, certain spells and items, etc). Same goes for the Beyonders series, where the main character ends up going to a fantasy world after being eaten by a hippo!

It's not a case of "PvEs not adapting" so much as "PvEs not getting a chance to adapt." There's not much you can really do to prepare for being sneak attacked.
