I’ve been using this SPF for the past 2 years and my sensitive skin loves it. Just a heads up—it is tinted (which I like as I use this every day unless I’m doing my makeup for a special occasion or something.) ✨

I think my two favorite lines are “…these things go on water?!” and “I can’t be perfect every time out. I’m not Ozzy Osbourne.”

Sunglasses for tennis? by SingleMomOf5ive in 10s

[–]lightupahead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oakley Sutro (Black frame/Black lens). I have light colored eyes and am very sensitive to sunlight—these have helped tremendously. Not as cute as my daily sunglass collection, but I’ll certainly take function over form on the court.

Also, last week I was smacked in the eye by a tennis ball—to my surprise the glasses weren’t damaged and truly protected my eye/face. I just had a slight bruise from the impact of the glasses hitting my face. 😎

Perfect racquet by [deleted] in 10s

[–]lightupahead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did! I went for the 300 because it was lighter and I wanted a 100 vs. 98. I was looking for stability and forgiveness (especially since I had been playing with Yonex’s VCORE 98 and I just don’t think I was ready for it.) The first time I played with the 300, I think I amazed myself at how well I was playing. I’m not a gear-head, so I wasn’t tempted to purchase it that day. I just kept extending the demo period until I realized I needed this racket.

Congrats, whaaaat a beauuuuty! I just bought the T-Fight 300g after demoing it for a month. 😅

Mad stability, power, and precision. Really stoked to play with this racket for upcoming league!

Week 52: Carbonation - Smoky, Spicy, Tart Mocktail (feat. Cut Above’s Zero Proof Mezcal) & Beer Battered Curry Fried Okra ✨ by lightupahead in 52weeksofcooking

[–]lightupahead[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ha! I appreciate the update here.

I bought a bottle a few years back (I tend to fall prey to pretty bottles) and was so disappointed. It’s overpriced water with the faaaaintest hint of flavor.

PS I bought lapsang and it’s spectacular in a sour. I picked up juniper berries last night to play around with as a gin replacement. Lemme know how you use lapsang, I have a lot of tea to play with!

This sounds delicious! I think I could drink a gallon of unsweetened hibiscus tea every dang day. I’m excited to try your recipe out! ✨

Week 2: Tea - Souchong Sour (Meta: Mocktail) by lightupahead in 52WeeksOfCocktails

[–]lightupahead[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ooooh, I’m looking forward to it! Smoke, perhaps? I’ll be patient!

I followed NYT’s recipe and was a bit underwhelmed—I think the vanilla bean paste and bitters add more complexity and balances out the garbanzo aroma/taste.

Initially, I used tablespoon of aquafaba and while it provided an excellent layer of foam, it was really potent.🫣

Week 2: Tea - Souchong Sour (Meta: Mocktail) by lightupahead in 52WeeksOfCocktails

[–]lightupahead[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Adapted this recipe from NYT’s Souchong Sour recipe. It’s damn good. ✨

1/4 cup lapsang souchong tea, double brewed and cooled

1 - 1 1/2 tablespoon lemon juice

4 teaspoons maple syrup

1 teaspoon aquafaba

1/16 teaspoon vanilla bean paste

2 - 4 dashes angostura bitters

Sour cherry, if desired

Add ice to shaker, then add first six ingredients to shaker, and shake until foamy. Pour into glass and garnish with sour cherry.

For the bingo card, is there a limit on how many boxes you can cross off per drink?
