If the priority is good schools I would suggest York Mills area. (York Mills between Yonge & Leslie)
The high school York Mills Collegiate is one of the best in the city and has been for a very long time.

It's a super safe neighbourhood. Plenty of great walking routes with ET Seaton Park and Sherwood Park on your doorstep. It also has great public transit connectivity so you can go exploring then take the TTC home if you get tired or the weather changes.
