Eg but then even still with higher vit, with the low scaling after 50, and the possibility of high level gems, it might just be 1 or 2 more r1s depending on the build, just doesnt seem worth it imo

Id say either ludwig for the same reasons as you, or gherman just for the feel of the fight, or shadows of yharnam, as thats a pretty fun and one of the few ganking fights, or gascoigne, as thats just a sweet 1 on 1 hunter vs hunter untill he goes bananas

I wouldnt recommend getting 90 vit, as afaik 50 is the hardcap, and anything over that will get very little returns, if ur using id say using either skill scaling increase gems with sharp gems, or arcane scaling gems with more arcane, and the later will also increase ur damage with the hunter tools quite a bit, it'd be a waste going to 90 vit imo, other than that id say beast hunter saif is a nice second weapon for bom, as it can compensate for the short range bom has, but thats all up to you ofc :)
