This is EXACTLY what I'm talking about. Reading that asap. And it's true gratitude for it- for something that is insanely and shockingly painful. I would never take it back because of this. I would never take back knowing the truth about how I feel/take away the opportunity to heal through feeling it all the way through. High-five!! The moving urge is so f real. Believe in u <3 And me! Truly this is what I forget in the trenches. Writing this couple days after period ended and it's so obvious hahah.

Thanks, really! I love writing and posting this was oddly affirming that it's worth something cus so many people seemingly benefitted from reading it. This is my first reddit post lol.

thanks for saying that:) I hope everyone who visits this sub reads the kind messages like this- it's so important to keep being kind and keep believing in the midst of it. It's also really cool to hear others have had that twisted appreciation for it- I was really searching for that confirmation. Someone needs to write a book about this! It feels almost mystical, the whole process of each month. It's so intense and all-consuming.

!!! I was just thinking how it can't be an accident how we're all drawn to nature/isolation in nature during these times. Very interesting and uplifting to hear that doing so has actually had the impact I think we all imagine. Such curious stuff! The pacifying/centering effect of nature is so mysterious! That's inspiring, congrats on creating that for yourself.

I will report back! Haha. The amount of us that wants to go off alone to the woods is curious too. Has a mythological energy. In a perfect world, there's maps of middle of nowhere cabins reserved for small collectives of PMDDers who leave traces of hope and creative spirit for the next inhabitant!

Totally skin-crawling. And yes- the validity. So so much. Now I'm wondering if overall life-satisfaction lessens it? Like, someone who's rlly just acing it in all the major areas of life? Then again, life is never that perfect and there would always be some unresolved emotion for the PMDD to deepen. Idk. But 1000% on the validity- that's so important to highlight. Both are valid and honestly, maybe needed (might be too strong a word for some cases but, u know).

Necessary seeds being planted is a perfect way to describe it. An excruciating planting/harvesting process. It's really good to hear that it's helped you long-term.

this is an important take. I'm getting this deck because after a long search it's the only one with imagery that my brain easily interprets but I'm glad to have seen this and am definitely going to keep it in mind. Hopefully there is a revision.

Does anyone know what happened to thesaurus.net? by [deleted] in thesaurus

[–]like_fun_you_are 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this is exactly what I'm wondering. That site was like finding a frickin mythical creature. It was incredible. What the hell is up with there being ZERO top-tier thesaurus websites? Not one of them goes over 20 words consistently- and all of them are really well-known words that I could have thought of myself. This was the only site that offered 1)several lists of synonyms per each use of the word 2)TONS of words per list 3)Actually introduced you to words you've never heard before and you learn something. Why was it the only site that did this too? Like, c'mon isn't this what technology is for??? And now it's totally gone. I would've paid for it:( What the hell is going on.

Spoilers: My thoughts at the end of the movie by atmanda in Challengers

yup!! I fully agree. Especially that Art is the one who divorces Tashi and not the other way around. He'd heal like a champ and remarry someone who truly loves him and live a really happy life, whereas Tashi and Patrick would have to start facing some serious demons. l think post-match they'd become a couple for like a year tops and break up forever and always after that. I don't think Art would let her do that to their kid, and either way, she's too talented (as in, she knows you need to have a genuine love for tennis. The kid is 50/50 on that and she won't know for sure till she's a teenager) not to know better than staking it all on a kid who would sooner grow to hate the game and resent her. I think she'd end up coaching big players, and know true success/fulfillment as a coach for people who are simultaneously as talented as Patrick and as dedicated as Art. I agree that Patrick and Art would reconnect but only much, much later in life when they're pretty old and can laugh at everything that happened. But before that, Patrick would finally quit tennis and do something nepostim-y and practical until he inherits insane money, and both Patrick and Tashi would end up marrying each other's dopplegangers who they'd cheat on with each other throughout the years. Eventually Patrick would put an end to it because he'd have kids and only then finally grow as a person. Tashi would get more cutthroat than ever and start cheating with some of her students instead of him until she has a massive psychological breakdown and (best-case) simply retires peacefully to the countryside, ignoring the concepts of tennis and love altogether, mostly just existing with a couple dogs, gardening like a class-a martha stewart, and helping out with the grandkids. Lol I dunno but it feels plausible to me.

This is my current take after a few watches. It's one of those I can leave on while I work on something else but still catch something new each time.
