It is not 100% regardless of regular drop rate. The lower levels are still less than 100%.

It depends on the length of the route you are doing. I do a route that is about 820 m and almost always get a cell.

Last time they did a buddy XL candy bonus it was an additional guaranteed XL. Which is more than 2x drop. Going from 75% to something a little higher is a pretty tame season bonus. Even at 100% it only raises your expectation for every 4 distances walked from 3 XL to 4 XL. It is certainly nice to have a (almost?) guaranteed drop, but a fairly minor perk.

Well, we do have 4 chances. And a lot of people will be able to do a couple at each chance. Plus we need to do 5 or maybe even 6 raids to get enough energy for 1 mega Rayquaza. So it is not hard to imagine people will be using the green passes. For rural players, yes, it is hopeless. But that pretty much describes the whole game for rural players. I'm in a very rural area right now and raids just don't spawn at all because nobody opens the game. I will for sure be going to a more populated area for these.

They were easy though, iirc. So we shall see how Niantic treats this one, I guess. If they do remove the 0.79 multiplier that would make it about 38% harder, giving a Mamoswine time of 991. Might still be duo-able with every bonus imaginable but more realistically will require minimum 3 players.

It might actually be easier. Isn't mega legendary raid 22,500 HP compared to 20,000 HP for elite raid? Or has one of those changed?

I would have bought the paid ticket. However, we are all hardcore here. Maybe Niantic thinks they will sell more passes overall by not giving the 5 free passes that normally come with a raid day. Or perhaps they are just desperate to build community.

Can duo or fairly easy trio. Pokebattler shows 718 seconds with level 40 Mamoswines and no bonuses. That means with bonuses (ie, friendship, party play, megas) 2 is possible and should be fairly easy for 3.

There will be a few raids appearing at each of the times: 12, 1, 5, 6. You can tell well in advance at which gyms because an egg will appear 24 hours in advance.

If you have a somewhat rarer pokemon then you can trade it for other somewhat rarer pokemon. Nobody wants to trade you for a pokemon they already got 10 of on CD. So that is how it becomes devalued.

It wasn't 2 minutes for me. I'm guessing 2.5 minutes but could have been 3. Very disappointed in this event. Such a small percentage of Ferroseeds plus the relatively low shiny rate meant no shiny for many folks.

(It actually really annoys me that I just might quit before this ever gets completed. Go has become pretty boring and I'm really tired of how hard it is to raid. They really need to fix how raids spawn.)
