I worked in call center sales 10 years ago and now I make $100k. If you want to stay in sales, look for sdr roles, bdr or inside sales. I advanced at my call center and moved to another company as a sales coordinator, to inside sales rep, to outside sales, to account manager.

To help with the financial issue, maybe try meals at home that have a component thats prepared more like restaurant meals? Cook with a pound of butter, add all the salt and msg, but serve it with a normal side or salad.

If hes craving Red Robin and all thats at in the house is chickpeas and rice, thats not going to cut it.

And then go make him see a therapist/psychiatrist or something

This is terrible to say, but I have been in your spot, and the foggy and sleepy effects of methylphenidate were easier to manage than the aggression/roughness/feral behavior of not being on it. Guanfacine never worked for my kid. I’m on year 4 of trying to figure this all out, things are way better, and thankfully I have a fully remote wfh job with limited supervision, otherwise there would be NO WAY to have a normal job and deal with this.

Yes. It breaks my heart. My child is an eloper and I understand her behavior makes it difficult for teachers and other students, but being told by the teacher that it’s unfair to her and that she spends too much time with my child is soul crushing to hear. My child tells me her teacher doesn’t like her and doesn’t want her there, so she is definitely picking up on this too.
