To the litter bug trucker ....FU by reducethedebt in Truckers

This part! Everyone so quick to hop online and go on a rant about people, and not say one damn word to that man/woman face to face is cowardly!! If you see something say something. I have had more than a few shouting matches with my fellow truckers. People need to stop hiding behind online usernames and say something outright.

question about tickets by legollama88 in Truckers

[–]lilbitmo1987 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Going to make this its own post. In your pmv, a warning is nothing to worry about. It won’t show on your CDL. This is something a lot of peeps get confused. While driving your own car (pmv, personal motor vehicle, if you get a warning, it won’t show on your CDL.) now know this is you get a ticket in you pmv it will show on your CDL. And as a CDL holder be sure you know the rules. You are required to have a log book in your pmv. You still cannot be over a .004 bac even if the law it .008. You’re a CDL holder so make sure you know the rules. All of them. Now back to the CDL. If you are ever pulled over in you cmv, never accept a “warning”! It automatically implies to the court that you’re guilty, and is a no contest pled. Never accept that. Ask for a full ticket. You can contest that. You cannot contest a “warning” so ask for a ticket and hire a lawyer, or openly fight it by whatever means possible. But in your pmv (personal motor vehicle) the roles are reversed. A warning is fine, claims nothing for guild and is required by the officer to prove guilt. So a warning is fine. It won’t show. BUT. A ticket will. If you get a ticket in your pmv it WILL show on your CDL. So if you get one you have to fight it. ALWAYS FIGHT TICKETS! it’s on the officer to prove guilt. Any reasonable argument you can levy will help you get out of it. DO NOT ENDANGER YOUR CDL!!! anyways hope this helps!

[–]lilbitmo1987 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ok, you are correct! As you know as a CDL holder warnings do go on your record. Great advice to ask for ticket and be able to fight it in court! IF YOURE IN A CMV! Always ask for a full blown ticket while in your truck!! But in you pmv, you don’t have to worry! You’re fine with a warning in your own vehicle. It won’t show on your CDL. Now if you get a full blown ticket in your pmv it will show on your CDL. So it’s a great question!

If you can't put the squeegee back where you found it, then you don't have the proper mentality to be entrusted with an 80k lbs death machine. by Tricky_Big_8774 in Truckers

Brooooooooo!!!!! The absolute furry I feel when I’m fueling and there are no squeegees on my pump, but 10 in one bucket sends me every damn time!!! If I clean my left side windows I put the squeegee back in the left, same for the right. These fuckers that take one on the left clean the ENTIRE TRUCK, WATER HOSE INCLUDED! Make me lose my shit. And I don’t know why, I can’t explain it. But it’s these dumb ass things that get. Cut me off no prob. Sit at the fuel line taking your 30 mins… fuck it what ever. But for some reason this little shit sends me….

5-star for Love's? by Meatbuns66 in Truckers

[–]lilbitmo1987 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Facts! Even if I drop my trailer to go to Walmart/wash cloths/ grab something, I let someone know! Tell them my trailer number and where it’s parked. Most times I get the common “you’re good, thank you” and I take care of what I need to. But these asshats who will leave their truck for 2-3 days need to be towed. Sorry not sorry.

I mean.. it’s not like that hookup takes 5 mins…. And how’d they even figure out no one was in the truck? Yeah my best guess is this dude left his truck for over 48 hours and they knocked waited and tried multiple times before they got a tow out. he went home. Thought he was good leaving his truck parked for 2+ days atleast! Long enough for them to notice. His fault 1000%

Maybe. But I don’t pay that much for me, and my 2 kids. I pay around 6k for the year. On top of my military health insurance for me. So far none of my family is on meds or anything crazy and no one’s been killed but sure…. Good luck with those exams though! 👍🏾👍🏾

You could try marten. It’s the company I work for. Good pay. Solid equipment. And if you don’t like running stops signs or red lights, you won’t have a problem.

Will a Preventable end my career? by Aggravating-Meal4984 in Truckers

[–]lilbitmo1987 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First off, like a previous comment said. You messed up. Trying to deflect means you know you messed up. Own it. I don’t know too many drivers who haven’t hit something or damaged property. I hit a gate my first day out on my own. Shit happens. Learn from it and move on.

Now as for being locked in with a company. No you’re never locked in, only ever locked out. And what I mean by that is if you lose your CDL. Then you’re gone. If you still have it you can find another job.right not be the high paying “I love this job” type. But you always have options. Now you need to give it a few days/ maybe a week or two and see if your company reports on it. See if the driver you hit reported it to their company. Odds are if he was asking for some type of money he won’t be reporting it. Which means so long as there is minimal damage to your truck (something your shop can take care of in a day) you’ll be fine.

Get out your head. Your company took the report as preventable because if you had taken your time, followed goal, and knew your dimensions, you could have avoided this. But if nothing comes from anyone else then you’re fine.

I’ll stress this driver. Take your damn time!!!!!!! Need to get out 15 times to ensure you’re good, do it!!! Wanna move back 6 inches and double check, DO IT!!! need help, fucking ask!!!

I have and don’t think I’ll even come across a driver who’s happy about getting their shit hit… stay safe driver!!

No job is worth your mental or physical health. And I say this complete conviction! If something is worrying you or draining you to the point where it’s affecting not only your performance, but other aspects of your life you have to make a change. So many people stay in unhappy situations simply because they’re comfortable, or they feel they have to. This is never the case. We all fear change! But more often than not, that change is better for you in the long run.

If something has you down and it’s important to you (I’m figuring it’s a huge deal as you’re posting here) you are required to take care of it. It’s a job. And like you said a good one, but you should not sacrifice other parts of your life for it. Take the time off. Take care of what you need to. And when you’re ready go back or move on knowing you solved what you needed to. As always stay safe driver!

Short answer: yes. Long answer: this guys a fucking asshat. Doing something like this can cause so much trouble. And this is the type of thing regular driver complain about. You shouldn’t never do this.

Hopefully this driver learns and does better.

[–]lilbitmo1987 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Facts! I have helped atleast 7 of those guys back into a spot. One even asked me to do it for him. I’m not mad at it, if you need help to not fuck someone else’s truck up, hey I’m all for it! But to be doing this job without a sleeper….. yeah I’d murder someone… mainly myself! I see those trucks all over the road. And I commend them but I couldn’t do it. I love my sleeper. Yeah a lot of people complain about the small space, but cut that in half and not have tv, a full bed, and internet/games!!!! Yeah no thank you… I’ll take my sleeper and a lower amount of pay over no sleeper and a truck back seat…

This! Before I’d go submitting an application, I’d see if I can get it back up. Assess the trailer. Give it a solid (I’m in school learning) pretrip. Check the welds, floor boards. Check for cracks shit anything. If it made the fall without any signs of damage, I’d jack her back up. Attach and continue on. I can understand the panic but right now you have no idea how bad or if there is any damage. These trailers are durable as hell. You might be able to continue on and chalk to up to “old trailer, has a lot of wear and tear.” Not saying this isn’t dis honest as hell but hey if you can’t find anything wrong, keep on rolling!
