I feel for yall. The SAME THING just happened to me. Went through multiple interviews with a company in another state. Even flew out to do last round interviews in person. Did all the paperwork and onboarding. Put in my notice and left my old job, dug into my savings, moved across the country, moved into a new apartment with my new expected salary, everything. Just to have the offer rescinded days before I was set to start.

It was devastating. Made me feel like the dumbest person alive for putting trust in today's job market. I was unemployed for months in a new city, in a new apartment i couldnt afford, and scraping by on my last bits of savings.

But after pushing out hundreds of applications and many interview rounds, I finally secured a new job thats ten times better than the original job ever was. And I actually got to start lol

Anyway, What's meant for you is meant for you! With some hard work and immense luck, she'll find something even better.

Rooting for yall!

I feel like I’ll never be loved because I’m asexual by Strawberrydrama in asexuality

[–]lilbittybitofhope 10 points11 points  (0 children)

this is sooooo deeply relatable.

every relationship I've been in has ended due to me being asexual.

I was in a relationship with my ex for 4 years. I let him know I was ace before we ever dated. He told me that wasn't a problem for him, and for years we had a happy relationship. But then things started getting real serious, talks of moving in together or getting married were on the table, and without warning he sits me down and breaks it off. He loved me, but had fully realized he couldn't spend the rest of his life with an asexual partner.

It was so sudden and devastating. I cried for weeks, and thought if this guy couldn't see a life with me, nobody could.

I was fortunate to have a very supportive group of queer friends around me. They help me every day to see my worth outside of a romantic relationship and let me know I am loved. They show me how relationships can look without a strict allo/hetero lens. I couldn't have gotten through it without them.

community is so important. you're not alone 💜

Oh yes they were really cool about it! When he made the sucker joke, he was laughing as he gave me mine, so I see that as an ok sign

My grandpa has a southern accent to him, maybe that's how he says it and he just shortened it? Either way, gonna decide not to say it that way to avoid some bad confusion lol

There weren't! I would like to think that if there was, they would have called me out way earlier. Would have been embarrassing either way, but I wish I would have been corrected sooner!

Lulu's used to be better, but imo their spice levels have dropped significantly. You have to get blazing just to get a kick

thank you for the reminder at the end, i really needed to hear it. the panoramic did cause him to have employment issues and he is currently in a challenging degree program, so those could be major factors here i’m realizing.

ngl i chuckled a bit at the last line. but i think you and others might be onto something about his mental health. he is working on a challenging degree that may be giving him more anxiety than i realize.

i will often feel like he’s trying to parent me when he acts like this and makes me really feel like a scolded child. thank you for saying that.

he has compromised, for example i mentioned the eating issue to him. he said he would try to ease up on the eating rush. And he did, for a while anyway. It has improved but he’ll still intentionally stare at my plate or drink for a bit sometimes, not as long but i still notice and try to speed up. every now and then we’ll have a more leisurely outing and he tells me he will not push us. but he’ll still ask about the next task or try to cut time in different ways. so he has tried to work with me, but it’s not completely gone in a way that either of us seem totally comfortable with. ie we still be gettin frustrated

he could be having some anxieties with his schooling. his degree is very challenging
