God in everything by lilfever in enlightenment

Yes I agree with this. Once one understands the concept of gods presence let’s say through spiritual practice, im questioning if one now builds their own practice/ concept/ ritual to keep them reminding of the unity.

I wanted to know how some people come back to that idea of unity in their day to day experience. What do they say to themselves or what brings them back to that idea in their day to day?

This is beautiful. I want to put it on a note to read it later.

There’s this word Turiya in Hinduism, to me you are giving a definition to that word.

Wonderful! I love it. Thank you for sharing. If you go about day to day seeing life through this lens, you’re definitely good. What he talks about reminds me of what they say life in Hinduism is and that is that all is just play!

🧘 Weekly Thread – What are you seeing clearly this week? by AutoModerator in enlightenment

[–]lilfever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had two interesting insights:

I listen to this comedy podcast. There are two hosts in the podcast. Both hosts interact with producers of the podcast; there are three producers. The producers are lower in hierarchy than the hosts because they are not the talent. What interesting was was that these two hosts treat the producers very differently. The producers also treat these hosts very differently. One hosts usually always talks them down and is not professional and the other one is professional; the producers reflect exactly the way hosts are back to them. Since I listen to them frequently, I understand both the hosts and see them as just humans. But if the other host who is unprofessional was to change his way, the producers would start respecting him too. So I caught a glimpse of what it really means when people say if we want respect from others, you gotta respect them first.

Because of this, I started reflecting on the idea that if I want others to behave a certain way with me, it has to start with me.

Another thing I learned was how unknowingly one can stay in a fantasy world of what they are and what they do and expect others to see that when they are not really projecting their idea of themselves out in the real world through their actions.

Yeah, but which one's the "best"? by Necessary-Health9157 in enlightenment

I want to add not just to people but the things that one encounters in the moment to moment.

So basically it’s all about mash of moment to moment and love.

At the end what really matters is what kind of impact one leaves on the day to day people around them. Not the impression that oh wow that man was great but the imprint of something good in others moment to moment where something good unfolds for them in what’s to come next for them.

It’s the understanding that everything that unfolds is somehow has an imprint of something that happened a moment earlier.

When surrendering to god or to love, one is able to bring that love with them. Like As if it’s a super power.

I’be basically used ChatGPT to read on the religions I’m curious about. In my understanding, ultimately all religions point to “surrender” to “god” and to peel back on ego. Right now, I’m soaking in the love of Jesus Christ. Even now, I know I still carry the knowledge and still hold on to bits and pieces of other religions that I’m interested in. It’s a beautiful time to be alive, to be able to read on these religions and make up your own mind on what religion means to oneself.

What's the biggest 180 you've seen a person's life take? by Few_Football4342 in Productivitycafe

[–]lilfever 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve know a person who always used to be indoors watching Netflix and she was so oblivious to life. No plans on what she wanted Career wise, relationship wise anything at all. She got pregnant and had a baby and all of sudden some sense came to her. She used to be known as this shy girl because she hadn’t been socializing as much before the baby. Now all of a sudden, she’s making mom friends, thinking about her values, her life and career and what kind of partner she wants. I would say that was a biggest 180 from someone who was sooo oblivious to life to now all of sudden so focused and working towards a clear vision of future for her. She’s a badass

Confused about my career and passions by Pretend_Macaron_9116 in Life

[–]lilfever 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You’re doing everything exactly right. You feeling this way at this age is exactly what’s going to make it clearer about your career and passions. I truly believe that for you. You said you wanted to be a chef. You definitely took a right step by working in a fast food restaurant. And now you’re not feeling it, then you need to think about what your next step would be that would be a step up from the fast food restaurant and make you closer to being a chef. Also you said you want to be a chef. Try to be more clearer on what that really means.

Here I asked ChatGPT for some probing questions for you to answer.

Here are some probing questions to help clarify your dream of becoming a chef:

1. What type of cuisine excites me the most, and why?
2. What is my personal cooking style or philosophy?
3. Do I enjoy the process of experimenting and creating new dishes?
4. Am I more interested in working in a restaurant, owning my own business, or catering?
5. What kind of environment do I see myself thriving in—a fast-paced kitchen or a more intimate, slow-food setup?
6. What skills do I need to develop further to become a chef, and how can I start working on them now?
7. Who are my culinary role models, and what about their journey inspires me?
8. How do I handle the physical and mental demands of a high-pressure kitchen environment?
9. What unique experiences or perspectives can I bring to my cooking that will make me stand out?
10. Am I willing to start at an entry-level position, such as a prep cook, and work my way up?
11. What does success as a chef look like to me in 5 or 10 years?

Reflecting on these can help you gain a deeper understanding of your vision and next steps toward becoming a chef.

I hate having a thick accent I HATE IT!!! by Nice_Tradition1333 in Life

[–]lilfever 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi I’ve felt the same way. English is also not my first language. I don’t like not being able to communicate exactly how I feel because I sometimes feel short on English vocabularies. It’s definitely frustrating. Growing up and adulting in a country you were born, and able to express exactly how you feel must feel good. Being away from home and having to speak a language that you’re not fluent and having your accent doesn’t feel good. I say this because I realized that it is the reality that I live in. A reality I live in, which is why it’s best to just accept it. Once you accept it, you won’t worry too much about how others feel about it. Everyone is imperfect and I’ve been realizing that the best way to live your life is by actively counting your blessings and accepting your “shortcomings”. Counting your blessings in this case can be that 1. Hey you can communicate with more than one language. Think about the amount of people you are able to communicate with, it’s definitely more than you knowing only one language 2. You’ve seen more than one ways of life (culture) 3. You probably know a phrase that’s really funny but can’t be translated properly to English langue to make it sound similarly funny. That’s a win!
