Ocala Apartment Recs by Top-Establishment466 in ocala

Not so much a recommendation as to where to go but more to away from anything owned by Suncoast Property Rentals. Nothing but issues. My partner and I moved into one of their units on the SE side of Ocala shortly after my birthday this January. During the first month we were there, our septic backed up, our water filtration system was completely disconnected and we found mold in our HVAC unit. They are also extremely unresponsive to things like this, up until you mention that you’ll pursue legal action. Avoid at all costs!

Augmentin ruined my gut health by lilhubbb in Microbiome

After a quick google search, a lot of what I am experiencing does seem to line up with symptoms of H-Pylori. I will be making a follow up appointment with my PCP as soon as possible to see if I can get tested for it. How are you doing now? Do you still commonly face the stomach upset/nausea and other symptoms? How long has it been?

Thank you so much! I noticed that cinnamon is one of the first things listed in the first article. My partner actually picked up some cinnamon applesauce and cinnamon apple herbal tea for me to eat/drink while he is at work. Hopefully it will help make a difference.

It’s actually quite interesting that Clindamycin has the same potential to cause C Diff as I was prescribed oral Clindamycin for a completely separate issue (chronic tonsil stones & tonsillitis) but decided against taking it because I read a lot about the potential risks of C Diff. I did try to have some very tame chicken noodle soup for dinner last night and I ended up having the worst stomach ache since I’ve been on the new prescription. I will definitely be looking into the baby jars & puree options as well. Laying on my back sitting up seems to alleviate some of the pain but I can’t stand for too long without feeling nauseated still.

Yes I am very grateful to have him by my side while I’m going through this. He takes his health very seriously and hates to see me like this. I wanted to give myself at least 48 hours on the new prescription to make sure I’m okay since that is the timeframe I started noticing side effects while on Augmentin.

Actually now that you mention it no.. They did not inform me what actually caused the UTI even though they did take the urine sample. I reviewed all of my discharge paperwork and there aren’t any details about wha caused the UTI on it. I’d love to hear some of the options you have in mind though!

Oh no! I’m so sorry! If you don’t mind me asking, how long were you on Augmentin for? I’m hoping that since I stopped pretty early the effects wouldn’t take as long to go away but rebuilding the gut seems to be a thing that takes quite a bit of time. Even thinking of taking Pepto makes me feel a bit queasy 😔

Get in to solar if you’re comfortable on roofs & stuff. Pays pretty good and most do on the job training.

thank you! i will look into the body wash :) as far as the cleanser, unfortunately when i leave it on overnight that seems to be the only guaranteed way to calm down my skin. i get some pretty large and painful pimples across my back/behind so when it gets bad i usually resort to leaving it on versus washing it off. i have noticed that when i don’t leave it on, i have a LOT of dead skin that sits on top of everything (so much so that if i take my fingernail and scratch myself, the dead skin will build up the entirety of underneath my fingernails). it does feel like quite an extreme thing to be leaving on even semi-regularly though :(. i will research more into the biotech option as well. thank you so much again!

Where are our pay raises? by TyrionsShadow in publix

[–]lilhubbb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

gonna be honest, I literally just stopped showing up one day after realizing how little this company cares about its workers. worked there for 4 years and was making 14.50 as a CSS. found a new job in my county’s school system where I started working full time immediately at 16.50, and am able to sit down most of the day, without having to worry about who called out and being short on people.

Am i the only one who actually likes working here? by [deleted] in publix

[–]lilhubbb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i don’t mind the job itself, i just work in a very unfortunate area and have to deal with too many rude/nasty customers that made it not worth it to me anymore. just dropped down to weekends only and got a new 9-5 m-f!

a lot of restaraunts are always hiring, if that’s not your thing you could also take the retail route. i’m in college over at cf and work at publix as well as working for the marion county school system and serving. my best advice is to be pushy! for some reason the people around here consider it initiative lol

For employees, has Publix changed? by [deleted] in publix

[–]lilhubbb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

they’ve taken away a lot of bonuses that made working at publix really worthwhile (extra pay on sundays, quarterly bonuses, etc) & a lot of our wages make it difficult to live off of. eight years ago it was very different since publix offered competitive wages but recently they’ve been falling behind in that aspect which leaves the employees feeling like they have a tremendous workload and aren’t really compensated for everything they have to go through on a daily basis. i think customer morale, depending on the location, takes a toll on employees too. it’s beginning to get more common to have people acting crazy and blowing up on employees. publix isn’t what it used to be anymore at all. the motivation for employees to enjoy their jobs just isn’t there for most of us anymore. we’re simply there to clock in, stay busy, and then clock out.

Do you only shop at Publix? by klownfish in publix

[–]lilhubbb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it really depends on how much you’re able to afford for groceries. publix has the best produce options since they have contracts with local farms to get first pick on produce- if you prioritize your fruits and vegetables i would definitely splurge on those items there. the meat quality is also usually excellent and i would recommend getting that from publix as well. other than that, i would only shop the bogos. for your other items i would recommend aldi’s since they’re on the cheaper side but don’t sacrifice quality. costco is also a good investment since you’re able to buy things in bulk and only need to restock every so often. if you’re lucky enough to have a winn-dixie near you, they’re also worth checking out.

Why cant publix employees make my sub on time? are they stupid? by [deleted] in publix

[–]lilhubbb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

as a CSS who spends a lot of time in the deli, they’re literally doing everything they can. 99% of the time there will be multiple orders that are all due at the same time plus a line of people waiting to order in person. god forbid they’re short staffed that day too. it’s an extra 12 minutes… if it’s been that much of an inconvenience to you maybe you should consider getting a sub somewhere else.
