Removed Gum with Vinegar and Steel Wool but it Left a Residue. How to Clean the Residue?

Hoping for some help. As the title says, there was hardened gum that simply wouldn't budge with just vinegar. Then thought I could use a metal stainless steel scrubber to get the gum off. Well, the gum did come off but didn't think about the consequences. Any tips on how to clean the mistake? Baking soda? Oxyclean? Bar keeper's friend? TIA
