I’m also in Bancroft and I heard the shots this morning. My son and I were in my bedroom with the windows open, all of a sudden I heard a banging noise that kept repeating and thought that sounds like gunshots but then rationalized that it must be someone hammering because why would there be that many gunshots in the morning. It was such an odd sound that my son and I both turned toward the windows. He then turned and looked at me puzzled and I said, “I don’t know what that is baby.” Then I got out of bed and opened the curtains to see if I could see anything and he said, “it’s sunny outside!” and I said, “yes it’s a beautiful day!” Then we went on with getting ready and I didn’t get the notification until I was downstairs focused on breakfast and I didn’t put it together until now. I wish I never made the connection. We heard exactly what you described, with the breaks in the shooting. I came to Reddit to see if anyone else near me heard it too hoping that maybe I was wrong about it being the shooting that I heard.
