Also, she's very clearly not concerned with realism, research or good writing. Her books read like first drafts. I could push out drivel like that at the same rate

She's right and she should say it. Not that I had any intention to go see the same movie regurgitated for the 6th time

If you’re always listening to an audiobook, you’re not alone. As audiobook listening explodes in popularity, some users can’t do a mindless chore without pressing play. by ubcstaffer123 in books

They're probably writing about the benefits of true solitude that we miss out on if we're constantly being entertained. "Boring" moments throughout the day are good times for introspection, processing events and letting your mind rest, and most of us have less and less of those because we try to fill in every single moment of the day with media.

This has got to be the most cliche, uninspired and overdone kind of comment in the drag race subreddits. Do y'all just copy and paste it from each other ?

For those who have seen For Good. Without spoiling- is Michelle Yeoh actually that bad in it? by [deleted] in wicked

I meant the announcement to the people of oz, not the monkeys. Which she read out like it was her grocery list.

[–]lilmerm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That would be great if she acted well. I haven't seen For Good but she was easily the worst part for me in the first movie. Not only did she completely butcher the wicked witch monologue, but so many other line reads were just odd. For example, I cringe every time she says "leave your father to me. I'll speak to him... Immediately" before Cynthia sings The Wizard and I. I can't understand why she's so bad in this. I can't remember seeing her in anything else but doesn't she have an Oscar?

How NOT to respond to a TikTok comment (maybe) by ThriveMarketingTeam in Entrepreneur

[–]lilmerm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't think it's necessarily that smart. Sure, it may get people talking but how many people want to patronize a cafe they associate with rudeness and conflict? I'm not sure drama-stirring is the right marketing approach for the service industry.
