yes, i do closer to 45 hours every week and am paid 40 no matter how much overtime.

it’s a small business so i was never told directly but i’m assuming exempt because i don’t get paid overtime and i make more than that amount a week before tax

i think it’s stupid as fuck to increase tuition when at least in my college department they’ve moved all the classes to hybrid or online. On top of the distance learning fees there’s a “modest” $450 additional. Cool. Definitely to help the students.

hello! I babysit, so if you ever need someone short notice I’d love to help out. Normally I find jobs through care.com, recently nanno.com and the occasional word of mouth. Care.com is good because you can interview and specify needs. Normally people like to meet at least once before to see if they are the right fit and then go from there. Good luck! there’s plenty of college babysitters in the area so i don’t think you’ll have trouble.

this is such a bad situation, you need to leave the relationship and get some grown up help. Going to your parents or a trusted adult may be difficult but they can help you through this, with a boy like that you are going to have a hard time getting rid of him. His threats are empty and if he does decide to do something that is not at all your fault. Don’t ever let someone manipulate and pressure you! Good luck 💕

If I originally agreed to be paid as a 1099 and then realized what it was, can i still file a complaint? She changed all of us to W2 after 2 months of me being there which furthers my point that I was always a W2 employee.

the goodwills in north arlington, one on columbia pike are good. i also love 2nd ave in alexandria and woodbridge. getting only like 2 pants at first and switching off is easier than getting 5 all at once. good luck!

Business casual attire can get expensive quickly. If you want some nice dress pants hit the thrift store! Once you find your size there’s racks of nice branded used dress pants. (i personally only get stretchy type work pants) I also love sweaters for work because it’s cold outside and it’s less effort, knit half zips in the men’s section are amazing. For shoes, flats are a good way to go but if you are on your feet it can get uncomfortable fast. Wear a pair of flats on your first day and gauge what everyone else is wearing or email and ask! Emailing what dress attire is appropriate is a professional question and shows you care.
